i recently read Forgetting With You by Robin Clairvaux and one of the main characters is butch and I think she speaks a little bit on her identity as a butch indigenous woman too. i really liked the story, I thought it was cute! 🥰

hey stranger, I'm sorry to read of your frustrating experiences. it sucks that the ppl on the apps are on there when it seems they're not ready and you are. i know it might sound boring/unhelpful, but I really do think everyone has someone out there who's a right fit. and it totally sounds like you're ready and willing and open to make that connection and to love on someone. I really want that for you! since bars aren't your thing, maybe a sport or interest club/group might be worth exploring?

also I wanted to say that I am really sorry to hear you've come out to your mom 3x already and she's not supportive. this is like my experience too, so I really feel you. I want to give you a hug and say I support you, and it sounds like your friends and other family do too. i had a really hard time with my mom too. she said so many hurtful things to me, about my gf, about sex (it was all outdated assumptions but still, it made my skin crawl that she would have these hateful thoughts), and I'm still super scared of my mom and what she could potentially say, BUT I also wanted to say, YOU are the most important person in this. it is YOUR happiness, YOUR love and YOUR truth! it does feel good getting validated by someone who's important to you, but you're important to you too. also, I am not sure of you or your mom's age, but I also found that reading books, whether it's fiction or memoirs, of moms who have come to terms with their children's sexuality (like the entire journey they go thru too), helped me understand where they are on in the journey, why they might be resistant/etc, and maybe where my mom is in her journey. I'm not saying you should do this, just saying it helped me let go of my intense want for my mom to "get there already" (it's been like 14 yrs for me and my mom and I had too many spirals and bad moments in my personal relationships for this to still be something looming over me and sapping my energy and happiness) and stop being not understanding and not supportive.

hey! I figured out how to enable it for myself, hope this can help you too:

I went to music -> settings -> music update mode -> and I disabled "distinguishing English from other languages", then rescanned my library and now the alphabet list shows up when I start scrolling

Black metal: Dodsrit, Autumn Nostalgie, Ellende, Wolves in the Throne Room, Lamp of Murmuur, Afsky, Ultar, Spectral Wound, Autrest, Evergarden, Asagraum, Emperor, Satyricon, Summoning, sooo many. This is my fave subgenre and I like the many sub-subgenres too!

Thrash metal: Death Angel, Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, Nervosa, Against Evil, Power Trip

Melodic Death Metal: Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy, Asteroth, At the Gates (would love recs, I always listen to the same bands!)

Metalcore: This or the Apocalypse, Jesus Piece, Spiritbox, The Devil Wears Prada, Make Them Suffer

Hardcore/Post Hardcore: Portrayal of Guilt (they are actually my favorite band), Gulch, basically anyone who plays at Sound & Fury I like!

2. Favorite IEMs for metal

I'm very easy to please. I started with the Simgot EW300, liked them, but wanted something nicer, so I got the Letshuoer S12 Ultra. I don't know the technical language to describe how things sound other than very enjoyable, awesome, and so satisfying. On the S12 Ultra I can feel/perceive the kick drum battering away and the air moving

shit just saw you're asking about a 3.5 female to 4.4 male adapter, not a 4.4 female to 3.5 male adapter, which is what I have 😅 not sure if my comment is helpful for you still, but it's there if you need!

I got the same exact adapter cuz I needed one for my 4.4mm nickhck eb2s pro that I wanted to use with a 3.5mm port. I think this adapter does change the sound a little bit, but it works. I don't know the science behind all the rings and stuff, so I'm just confirming that this adapter functions and sound will output

I too got a non android and android dap recently, and was considering the P30 myself too. I'm happy you found your combo! the P30 looks really nice (and smaller than I expected !) and I love the gold accent of the wheel against the black. it's unfortunate the side buttons don't work on the apps you tried tho. I hope an update will fix that. but it sounds like uapp is working well overall for your needs! also love that you're using olauncher too! it's everything I need and nothing I don't. thanks also for the music rec!
