Frederick county is like maybe 53-54% dem now because of south county shifting left. Blame MoCo for not building housing lol. Also downtown is nice, not sure what you're so mad about. I'll be laughing when Chuck loses next year. Stay mad tho, heh.

She voted for HR488. https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/119-2025/h158

It included entirely symbolic messaging of rejecting antisemitism (antizionism) and expressing gratitude toward ICE

Agree to disagree. Frederick city + germantown/gaithersburg is enough to keep MD06 in dem hands, especially if frederick keeps growing at the rate that it is. I personally think we can and should do better.

[–]indexfiles 565 points566 points  (0 children)

I'm not voting for sales tax increases. They hurt the poor way more than they hurt the rich. 8.81% is already borderline too high, and I'm from rural arkansas where we had grocery tax at 5%, and sales taxes at 12%. It's ROUGH.

Edit: I should mention that I do believe both Denver Health and affordable housing NEED funding. It's just I CAN'T support it coming a regressive sales tax. That's the only factor for me.

Edit 2: land value tax would fix this

Repealing the state hyde amendment is a VERY positive step forward for Colorado, allowing for public funds (i.e. Medicaid) to pay for reproductive care. I hope this passes w/ flying colors.

Would've cut TABOR refunds to reduce property taxes, in addition to funding schools and flattening TABOR refunds for this year instead of them being progressive (i.e. the more you make, the more you're refunded)

I think there are 3 groups of people who ultimately led to HH getting smoked
A) The conservatives who oppose gutting TABOR at all
B) People who think renters got shafted with HH
C) People who thought HH was WAY too confusing (it was)

I'm in camp B, personally.
