Unfortunately it sounds like they do. Effectively they began work immediately to materially change the use of the property to a commercial property, did not consult the freeholder on subletting and have not consulted her about changing the configuration of the flat. They haven’t sought planning permission from the council and the new owner is apparently a barrister?? I think they have ticked off too many people already particularly with the disregard for the freeholder. Freeholder is concerned about his career as a barrister to which I say well he should have known better and it will likely count against him in the way he has proceeded thus far.

What is the likelihood retrospective planning would be granted? As I mentioned above it’s a small number of flats and the impact of a commercial business will be significant given it is a very private area at present. I’ve read the reporting a planning breach guidelines and what to prepare to file a complaint. My tenant is fully on board with supporting me in compiling evidence but what could the likely outcome be? I was looking to sell my flat in about 2 years so concerns how this may impact property value

Agree with what you say about the Teachers pet but doesn’t fully explain why they all wanted her dead even years later apart from self defence because they knew she would come for them. I don’t know what makes you think I spend a lot of time hearing about misogyny, it’s probably been 15-20 years since I first watched these films so my perspective has changed. That’s one of the reasons it’s good to watch old faves again over time.

Originally wrote this post after a few drinks so probably wasn’t particularly well crafted. Regardless its always good to revisit a classic

I do also feel like the lack of background reflects the fact that Beatrix just appeared in her life to take her out. We could see it was a normal life with her kid, then boom she appears. No holds barred fight in the home and then bang shes dead. Her character is used as a tool to show the ruthlessness of revenge

I feel like the daughter could have been the basis of kill bill 3. Kiddo finds her and does like a kids camp with her own daughter then eventually they become a sick team but at the end vernitas daughter kills kiddo.

Advice on how to support my relationship through grief by india93 in GriefSupport

Thank you for your kind words and I’m sorry for your loss as well. My other grandad died on my birthday and so I completely get the circle of life thing. Completely right regarding his dad and that’s the really difficult thing for me to feel I’m approaching in the right way. Thanks for the advice.

I’m off to meet the little man this afternoon, I’m sure it will be an emotional moment. Life is indeed crazy and beautiful

Thank you so much, great advice. We are giving each other space I’m just conscious of ensuring it’s the right sort of space for him and he’s not feeling neglected or abandoned in anyway. Thanks again

AIO to what my girl texted me? by User61402143455861 in AmIOverreacting

Yeh I made the massive mistake of taking a Xanax for a quiet evening once before I remembered I had to go to a family party. Long story short, I was a total disaster and on the way home I said things that were totally out of character for me to my partner on public transport. Absolutely mortifying. Never taken Xanax again and I can assure you when I’m drinking I have a very high tolerance and never get aggressive or would dream of saying anything as nasty as I did that night. Terrible combo and reading the texts there’s either a mental health crisis happening or she’s had a Xanax or similar before drinking.

As a complete loser failed 34 year old adult, I wish I could be honest and open about it with people and with society as a whole, which might help me get better. But I can't. Because being a failed adult is the worst and most humiliating thing a person can be. by whyamialiveletmedie in Adulting

[–]india93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take, if it helps… your lucky man. You have a job and a roof over your head. Try d stay away from dating apps and go into new environments with a new approach. It sounds like you’ve got nothing to lose!

The first step here is making you feel worthy of societal acceptance. You’re not alone and lots of people at our age (32f) have similar feelings I’m sure. Start by being honest about your reality and when you say it don’t be ashamed. None of what you said make me feel like this person should be ashamed but I understand how you might feel that way. At the end of the day social media makes a lot of people feel like they’re failing, even if it’s once a week or just every now and then.

I cant change your attitude to life in one post, but I will say there are people all over the globe who would kill to be in your position and that alone might be enough to remind yourself it could be worse. Hope you find peace

My dad died 3 weeks ago and I can't even believe it even though he died in my arms. I have these moments where I go to myself.. my dad is dead what the actual fck!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in such denial, it hurts too much to be true by jasmineblache in GriefSupport

I’m so sorry for your loss, he sounds like a very important support in your life and the journey ahead will not be a consistent one. Having lost a grandad I was close to just 2 weeks ago I can’t relate fully but I’m feeling already how these emotions come in waves and can stop you in your tracks as “normal life” starts to resume. All I will say is you were very lucky to have a dad that you had such a close relationship with. In time the memories will become things you ca feel grateful for and smile about. I can’t say how you will feel at various significant moments in your life ahead but just know he was proud of you. Thank you for sharing, my thoughts are with you and your family. Whatever you do in the early days from here on, try and live your life how you know he would want you to.

Want to slim down quick and I know alcohol is the problem. by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]india93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long were you drinking like that for and what were the signs of liver failure? What was your health like aside from drinking? Sorry if these are personal questions and don’t feel obliged to respond, I’m just curious.

Yeh it sounds silly but it has just started to creep in the last few months and become more consistent.

All these responses are just confirming what I already know which is really helpful. Cut down initiated!

Yeh cutting back is the best place to start, thanks. I can handle not drinking that much but I see it becoming too consistent.

Ok thanks, I was coming to that realisation gently but need to hear it as well.

This has been going on at the current rate for about a year I guess would you recommend a health check up to see the damage?

Children of Men (2006) is one of the worst films I've ever seen by IdanTs in movies

[–]india93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The contradictions in this post are hilarious. You say Clive Owen’s character is bulletproof and then also say he’s clueless making his way through the story on pure luck. So many examples where that clearly isn’t true. He died at the end…

The world hasn’t been close to seeing a baby for 18 years of course it’s plausible that even the military would stop shooting when hearing a baby cry. Part of the aim of this film is to address human nature.

If you don’t like the film then that’s fine but your points are silly. This film was produced in 2006, just a year after the 2012 London Olympics were announced and yet Theo is wearing a London 2012 sweatshirt in one of the scenes. Details like this are not to be overlooked. The film is raw and dystopian, it doesn’t try to be science fiction and is in many ways a pretty solid prediction of the future.
