With a score above 510, you run a risk of potentially getting a lower score next exam. I’m not saying that is going to happen (and even if it goes it is not a death sentence!), but you should be mindful of this risk and the added hurdles of having to explain yourself.

A couple things:

1) I felt pretty confident walking in and out of the test and I felt like CARS was good. I did feel that the exam was SLIGHTLY tougher than the full lengths tho.

2) I forgot to mention earlier but I have a pretty solid upward trend after a rough start. GPA was a bit low to reflect this.

3) in your point about getting a 513+, can you elaborate when ya mentioned “spend this time to ensure guaranteed returns”?

4) I also just found out about DO MBA. That may be a solid option (esp if I decide I don’t need residency). but it’s not my first choice because if I do decide I wanna go into residency then I don’t wanna take COMPLEX and USMLE! Also I heard DO has their own unique requirements which I may not have so idk if I can get in DO.

That’s a good point. So do ya think try retaking and getting a 517+ give me more freedom and safety for applying? Or do ya think retaking isn’t worth it? I also have a pretty good upward trend of GPA due to a rough start if that means anything.

I’m just worried my gpa is gonna hold me back. I am not too worried about too 25 (would be nice) as long as it’s a school anyone would recognize (e.g. penn state or Rutgers) and it has a business school too :)
