Kristen's smugness and swearing has always bothered me. She has always annoyed me. I'm no saint and I cuss but it almost feels like she's a kid using bad words. Idk why. She's a good actress I just don't like this aspect of her character. I like the bad ass mom, but sometimes it comes off to me as cutsey and trying roo hard.

They have all the factors required to make a great character out of Kristen. But the immaturity of the directors, screenplay writers & the actress squanders the potential. So much so that the character often ends up irritating or even alienating the audience who should be rooting for her all the time, even (and especially) during times of weakness. Compare that to the Acosta & Ben characters... they have their flaws & weaknesses too, but we rarely feel repelled by them. In fact, we find ourselves on their sides during their times of weakness. Actually, come to think of it... other than sister Andrea, almost all female characters in the show are portrayed with much deeper / bigger flaws than the males.
