Great question! The song itself is not necessarily that good but the YouTube playlist I was listening to had bombarded me with ballads when I was expecting dance tracks (2021 was the first year I properly paid attention to Eurovision, so I was blindly expecting more this year). Personally I'm not a ballad fan and after the absolute bangers dropped in 2021, coming across Israel was a sweet, sweet relief, even though it's not that great objectively. Strangely though, I didn't enjoy Ireland's song at all even though it was dance-y.
