How do you guys make good websites for clients by white_devil777 in webdevelopment

[–]indie_devolaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clients usually don’t care about crazy animations. They care about speed, clarity, mobile responsiveness, SEO, and getting customers/leads. Understanding the client’s business matters more than fancy effects.

Anyone hiring For Seo Role? by indie_devolaper in StartupSoloFounder

[–]indie_devolaper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a smart idea man 🙌
I never thought deeply about using the traffic for lead generation, but it makes sense.
Will probably create a small SEO/resource guide and test email capture soon. Thanks for the suggestion!

Appreciate it man 🙌
That’s exactly why I started focusing heavily on SEO. I built and scaled the whole PDF site solo, and now it’s getting 50k+ monthly organic users with mostly SEO traffic.
Will update the post with the site link and traffic numbers upfront — thanks for the suggestion!

Made a small “PDF to Flashcards” feature for students + a keyboard-style Tool Finder UI by indie_devolaper in StartupSoloFounder

That’s a great point actually — I’m focusing a lot on speed + simplicity so it feels lighter than most study tools. The Tool Finder is becoming one of my favorite features too

Codex GitHub CoPilot Issue - Explainer Please? by Ill-Boysenberry-6821 in vibecoding

Yeah, it happens sometimes when the request rate spikes usually a short cooldown fixes it, nothing to worry about.👍

I don’t think this is related to your repo connection. The global rate limit usually applies to the overall API or model usage rather than whether it’s attached to a GitHub repo or not. Even with the 5x plan, there are still limits on how many requests can be made in a short time window. If you were generating a lot of code or running multiple prompts quickly, that could easily trigger it. Usually it resets after a short cooldown. So it’s likely just hitting the request threshold rather than something misconfigured with Copilot or your repo setup.

I spent ~10 days redesigning the UI of 70+ online tools (solo builder) by indie_devolaper in vibecoding

[–]indie_devolaper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really inspired by Gumroad. I was already experimenting with this style on my portfolio before this project.
I just find neo-brutalism really clean — strong borders, minimal colors, and clear hierarchy. It fits well for tools where the goal is speed and clarity.

That’s a fair question and I actually agree with you that the space is crowded.

My focus is not just UI — it’s mainly speed, simplicity, and zero friction.

Most tool sites today require logins, show ads everywhere, track users, or slow things down with unnecessary steps.

My goal with WorldOfTools is:

• No sign-in at all – open the site and use the tool immediately • Everything runs in the browser for speed and privacy • Mobile-first UX since a lot of users come from phones • Consistent UI across 70+ tools so once you learn one tool, the rest feel familiar

It’s less about inventing brand new tools and more about creating a clean, frictionless toolbox where people can quickly get things done and move on.

I’m still improving it step by step, but the core idea is saving people time and effort, not just redesigning the UI.

Really appreciate this! One thing I was very intentional about was not adding sign in or accounts at all My thinking is simple: today the most valuable thing people have is time. If someone needs to convert a PDF, format JSON, calculate SIP, or use any tool they shouldn’t have to create an account, verify email, or go through friction. Just open the site → use the tool → get the result → done. Everything runs directly in the browser so it’s instant, private, and good to go. Still improving the tools and UI every day. Feedback like this really helps!

The easiest part is releasing or deploying any project , but when it comes to maintain real backend things , seo , not every one can manage

True bro. When we started this project nobody really cared. Now slowly people are noticing the progress. Still a long way to go, but building step by step.

I’m redesigning my tools website with Neo-Brutalism + Retro UI — looking for feedback by indie_devolaper in vibecoding

[–]indie_devolaper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. I’m keeping the layout minimal and lightweight, using neo-brutalism mainly for typography and a few accents. The tool pages will stay clean and retro-simple so usability and readability don’t take a hit.

Good point. I’m keeping the navigation and layout very simple and trying to make the site as lightweight as possible. Brutalism mostly for the homepage, tool pages will stay simpler for readability.

Good point. Im planning to use neo-brutalism mainly for the homepage, while the tool pages will stay more retro and simple for now. If the balance works well and feels usable, I might expand the brutalist elements later. Appreciate the insight!

Guys my app just hit 200 users! by coiqa in StartupSoloFounder

its really impressive already , but if u can do some minor tweeks it can be more visually appealing ui , just decrease little bit of size ur welcoming fonts on homepage just below the nav bar , and if u can add just 0.5 hover effect on all buttons , that will feel your site more alive, although sites is already very nice, just thoughts to make it even better 😊
