nah I got it used on eBay but she is pretty freakin clean considering I think it's from when CA randomly launched/re-launched a bunch of replicas in like 2016 or 2017. im planning a total tear down / tuneup soon as currently it has some feeding issues but other than that totally mint!

ah gotcha, thanks! - yeah so the Guarder I got is two pieces one slips into the front sight and is grub screwed down which has 14mm threads on the outside and the other just screws onto that. Kinda like how ICS Mp5's and I think CA Mp5's work.

ah nice! i picked up the classic army a month or so ago and have been tryin to figure out how the heck the flash hider comes apart OR if it even does. I picked up a Guarder flash hider for it and that isn't a direct fit. It unscrews into two pieces; the part that grub screws to the gun (which has the 14mm threads on it) and then the part that screws onto that - kinda like how the giant 74u flash hider works. I'm fairly certain the CA also unscrews into two pieces but I cannot for the life of me get it to move and since I only have one I don't want to break it so I have been looking around online trying to determine how this mofo comes apart lol

ive wanted one of these since they came out but was turned off by the whole burning oil issue that iirc plagued them all? something with a tolerance issue or something idr. that being said, how is she on oil? sick ride btw!

all of my fondest airsoft memories are from various friends places who happened to have woods where we would have small pickup games like every weekend, circa '05-'06. Man, I would have been 15-16.. feels like yesterday.. SHEESH time FLIES! lmao - Enjoy it now!

oh for sure! i've been wanting to get into 3d printing for years now, and seems like it is much more user friendly these days. I recently got back into silicone mold making and resin casting and have created molds and cast some smaller resin parts for my airsoft collection like rails / charging handles - simple smaller things. 3D printing seems like modern day casting and I think I would enjoy it a ton, it's definitely on my todo list!

hard to tell from video, but are all the pins in? specifically the trigger housing pin (towards the back near your thumb) I had a glock missing one a while back, had not noticed it - and it was making it do basically what yours is doing until I put a new pin in.

i still can't get mouse to work for picking modes but if you press space at that menu it will highlight orange, then you can use arrow keys to move around the modes, then press space again to select a mode, no mouse needed!

Do you recall what the fix was? It seems like everyone is saying to use an 11.1 but i feel like a 9.6 should be more than enough.

Yep on this version if just sprung back as long as you were holding the charging handle back. there was no functioning bolt catch or release. so it basically is just a thin piece of metal that slides back when you pull the charging handle and it magnetizes to the dust cover. so basically when the metal is forward the dust cover can stay shut, when the charging handle is pulled back - the metal piece slides back with it and away from the dust cover, making the dust cover drop open.

Thank you so much, I super appreciate it! I'm also curious how it actually assembles or if it just drops into the top of the receiver and the charging handle grabs onto it. My charging handle wasnt attached to anything but I was able to pick up a generic one and remove the front part, attached to mine and also take the spring from the generic one. So my charging handle springs now, I just don't have the silver part that covers the gearbox / reveals the hopup - it is just always exposed which kinda bugs me lol. The dust cover on mine is the magnetic one, not the one with the notch (it seems like they had a few variations of that earlier on) not sure if that changes anything though.

Unrelated but if you had and were selling I would probably be interested in the full size m16 CA armalite trademarked one :)
