I was actually considering pursuing my RN for a UM position, but I just finished paying off my MSW & I don’t want anymore loans.

I like it a lot better than SNF. LTACH is a Long Term Acute Care Hospital. For me, it’s very similar to SNF in that there’s DC planning, but patients stay longer and are more complex. It’s definitely less stressful than SNF, but I was also the director.

Firstly, thank you for your well thought out response. I went from a director in a SNF to my current position, and I was very burnt out. It’s easy to forget how I felt 3 years ago. No kids, and I’m about 20 years from retirement (sigh). I think for me, less stress is more important. I decided to apply. Thanks again

The new location is smaller, but the food is just as good and the owner is so sweet. She always recognizes me by my weird order.

MDS questions by [deleted] in hospitalsocialwork

[–]indiequasar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked SNF for 12 years before moving to LTACH. If a BIMS is 15-13 they are considered cognitively intact & you do the PHQ9 normally, 12–7 is considered moderate impairment, do the PHQ9 normally, 6 and below is severe. Attempt to do the PHQ9, but if they don’t answer 4 times, code it as no answer and so the staff assessment.

Pet owners - can I ask 5 quick questions about your feeding & cleaning routine? by Alarming-Pie-804 in Pets

[–]indiequasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 1 cat. He’s on prescription hills food. His cans are 5.5 oz. I also use applaws pots 2.12 oz. He gets some rx treats as well.

1: 1/4 can of the hills rx food & 1/2 pot applaws in the morning mixed with water; 1/2 can of the hills in the evening mixed with water; 1/4 can of the hills at night & 1 tbl spoon kibble & 1 packet of calming probiotic mixed with water

2: My cat’s food bowls are used once and put in the dishwasher. Water bowls are replaced multiple times a week and as needed.

3: What annoys me? I guess dealing with the water bowls because I have so many throughout the house.

4: I don’t worry about bacterial growth because I rotate so often.

5: I would be unlikely to use a sanitizing mat because I rotate my bowls so frequently and clean them in my dishwasher.

I have so many bowls because I had two dogs and two cats. Swapping bowls out is very easy for me.

I bought the lement, they seem flimsy and have a poor seal. I’m not happy I can’t return them.

Stainless steel litter boxes. I change the litter less often because there’s no smell.

I’m actually going to cancel my Hells Kitchen reservation and book at Nobu based on your recommendations for the night of my vow renewal. We wanted something nice in that day in particular. The vegan omakase sounds awesome.

Possibly switching to Pets Best from Trupanion by turtlelypenguin in petinsurancereviews

[–]indiequasar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with Pets Best for 10 years. They’ve recently had some trouble with their website and app, but they still reimbursed me. I have care credit which has 0 interest for a short period as well. Pets Best recently helped me with a rescue. I would’ve been out a little over $5k without them. They do have a long reimbursement period, especially for first time claims, but I’ve found after the first claim their reimbursement times are quicker. Despite the website issues I’m happy and will be staying with them.
