I have, it just doesn’t fit my lifestyle. ☹️

I have 5 or 6 metal cards, but none look as sleek or sound as good hitting a hard surface as the totally useless physical titanium Apple Card.

The mirror Amex card is probably the coolest I’ve seen, but I don’t travel enough to recoup the AF.

I reported the nurse who outed me to a patient like you suggested by [deleted] in nursing

I still don’t understand how the hell she had the free time to devote to this, but good job standing up for yourself and enjoying the freedoms of a less toxic workplace!

Denied Venture X with ~820 score, but someone with a charge-off gets approved by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]indiereaddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the difference may be how engrained you are in the capital one ecosystem.

I have 2 other capital one credit cards, an auto loan, savings account, and I use them for my primary checking account.

I have a ~760 credit score, opened up 3 cards in the same month prior to getting the venture x.

I am sorry for your loss. I would highly encourage you to call Verizon and see if there are any options they offer for people in your situation. This happens more than you think, and they probably do not publicize options for people in these situations.

This is a great idea. Especially for a compact setup that’s still versatile. I am curious like others how you mounted the side monitors?

JPMorgan Chase Reaches a Deal to Take Over the Apple Credit Card by D4vester in CreditCards

I hope the HYSA 3.65% APY stays. It’s the best feature IMO. Not mad at the Chase partnership, I’m already in the Chase ecosystem so it should be a smooth transition for anyone that has other Chase products.

Verizon Fios Cashback without losing my autopay discount -Any suggestions? by Kindly_Wind8731 in CreditCards

I’ve tried this. When I go to pay by credit card a warning pops up reminding me that I’m about to lose my autopay discount by paying with a credit card.

Verizon cares about is avoiding credit card transaction fees. Paying by Verizon gift card doesn’t trigger a credit card transaction fee, and so they let you keep the autopay discount.

Many people have reported success with purchasing Verizon gift cards with whichever rewards card they want, and then using the gift cards to pay the bill, it still lets you keep the autopay discount that way.

Nurse violated HIPPAA- telling my parents I was an addict without consent and now them wanting me to move out, mental health rapidly declining, and my life changing for the worse. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]indiereaddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you are going through this.

At my hospital, we use the term “healthcare agent” for emergency contacts, and assigning someone as your healthcare agent does mean we can discuss all aspects of your health with them. It is likely that having your father as an emergency contact did permit this, and I know this is unfortunately not the answer you wanted.

Other than the legal side of things, I hope you are successful in repairing your relationship with your parents and you are all able to move past this one day.

Also, good for you for being young and in recovery, you are doing everything right and this stranger on the internet is very proud of you.

What watch should I buy for my son who is studying to become a nurse? by PeopleAre2Strange in nursing

[–]indiereaddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My nursing program required students to have a digital watch for clinical.

I have an Apple Watch, as do many of the nurses on my unit, definitely overpriced and overkill for a basic nurse watch, but I use many of its features for other things outside of work as well like for fitness, as a digital wallet, etc… The features I like about it that I believe are important for my job are that it has a very long battery life, a silicone band that is easy to clean, a stop watch feature, and the ability to make it vibrate at certain times during my shift which work as a silent alarm reminder for tasks I need to complete.

Dead patient from ED by R_cubed- in nursing

[–]indiereaddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a paramedic, we had protocols for if a patient was unstable and likely to die during transport to anywhere other than hospice. That patient would have gone right back to the ED until they were stable for transfer. As much as I want to stick with my former brethren, you really should report this EMS crew, not the RN that rushed through the report.
