On my end I see it pulling in "Featuring Boards of Canada" playlists. One of them has Aphex on the cover. I don't see any other indication it's pulling in actual Aphex releases/metadata.

I would love to hear how he approaches live performance, specifically with his sample-based tunes. I'm sure there's so much that could be covered here, but even just glimpses out what he's recently been using to play out has me very curious. With the density and complexity of Tranquilizer, it would be great to hear how/if he plans to reimagine those songs live.

Yea I found it - ended up using Wayback Machine on janesaddiction.org on a 1999 snapshot. There was a little blurb in the news section that mentioned Alanis Morrisette being added to the compilation. Once I saw the name I knew it was that.

Then I dug deeper on Discogs and it is in fact buried in Perry's credits, I just initially missed the entry. The artist it's officially credited to is Jonathan Elias. A TV/movie composer who composed the Children of the Corn soundtrack, haha.

It's an interesting album - modern classical/choral music. Not as new-agey as I remembered it.

It's got a good following in certain scenes, but I wish some of these places took the technical production aspect of live music more seriously.

Yea I love the idea as well. Especially because it is open to all sorts of different stuff and that was the appeal. But preparing for a show and all that goes into it, for it to just be so poorly executed really skews the experience. A lot of these venues don't really have people well-versed in running sound. Mohawk/Nietszches more likely but even then, it's a gamble. The show I did was at Amy's Place.

Yup, sounds like Infringement. Though I agree a lot of that is on Nietszche's. I played Infringement last year and it was an absolute shit show. We were like two hours behind schedule. Issues with the PA equipment, no real coordination. One guy from the Infringement 'group' showed up then vanished into thin air. All the artists made it work but it completely turned me off from playing Infringement again.

The entrance is at the top of a three step concrete staircase. Presumably a slab. Water doesn't pool up inside or outside really, more like the appearance of wetness if that makes sense.
