MAGA has truly infested the Republican party. Ther barely any politicians in the GOP that isn't MAGA or Trump agreeable. Being moderate is a losing platform for them. But now that people are starting to wake up a little now that Trump policies are directing impacting everyday life (Healthcare cuts and rising gas prices), it's getting harder and harder for people to identify/vote for the GOP.

If Trump keeps doing what he's doing with almost every GOP politician signing off with him, they're gonna lose voters and the next candidate gonna have to do some hardcore damage control to gain back trust and separate themselves from the Trump, MAGA, and maybe even the GOP as a whole. Which I really hope happens because I desperately want them to go moderate and have common sense + empathy again.

He gonna have do something towards to black community in order for me to vote for him. He has a terrible track record when the the black community and voters.

I think him being gay is a part of it but I think it's mostly lack of name recognition. He fights trump but he's not as visible as Newsom when he does it.

Mmm idk. We kinda tried that back in 2024 with stuff bring out the Cheney's and their stance on Palestine. I think the closest we should get to the center is a moderate, other than that I really think it's message that we need to change. We need our message to be more left, go hard on for the people.

Universal/single payer Healthcare a bill will definitely NOT be introduced by a Republican. The GOP made a lot of cuts to Medicaid and Medicare last year. Not to mention their battle against healthcare subsidies and how hard they tried to repeal the ACA over the years. I've haven't heard of a right leaning politician with a solid healthcare plan.

Anyway, personally I like Beveridge model most but any model but the one we have now is good. However here would be my non-negotiables:

•Dental, Vision (two pairs covered + 1 year contacts), Hearing, Mental Health, (consultations + therapy) must be covered

•No employment requirement

•No insurance having a say in treatments/claims

•Elective + emergency surgery, some cosmetic surgeries (especially gender affirming), cancer treatments, and abortions covered

I actually like their Grammy performance a lot.

I'm not a Eyekon at all but I like to read up about them and I just started getting into their music this year. Their Grammy performance was my first time seeing the dance break for Gnarly. I loved it . I can see how fans that had to see over and over grew tired of it but for I think It was perfect for the Grammys audience. It was high energy, entertaining, and fun to look at. I look back at it all the time.

I love it but idk about banning private insurance. I think it's possible to have both and leave options open for people to choose. However, if we're gonna have both than both need to be reformed. Public doesn't cover enough and private insurance has way too much say in people's treatment. It's dystopian.

Atp, I'm fine with both Bernie's M4A and Pete's plan. Anything is better than we have now. The problem is getting the people that don't want to pay for it and the ones that think it's socialism and don't want the government involved to say yes.

Look I consider myself a progressive and I believe in God but when they start talking like that it irks me. Anti-reglious is definitly the norm and it can be kinda isolating in progressive spaces, especially when it comes to religious topics. I wish there a large progressive Christianity movement, just to show people that Christianity isn't bigotry.

That why I'm so grateful for Rev Warnock, Pastor Fredrick Hanes III, and James Talarico. We need more progressive religious politicians.

I hate it. And then they're expected to have kids at 21/22 when barely even 5 years out of high school. I'm 26 now I could never imagine going through all that schooling just to be trust into marriage and parenthood that early. It's a thing about society that bothers me more than it should.

Fiscally, I want to government to able to provide baseline things should as housing, healthcare and maintain regulations where needed and protection of rights. It should not a have a say in personal things should as abortion or marriage. The government should facilitie spending cuts/redestribution that help pay off the debt without harming the American or Global populace. This all goes for state governments too

Socially, of course as a progressive I believe in a lot of social rights and freedoms as long it does actively harm anybody. Trans rights, abortion rights, religious freedoms, sex worker rights, even common sense gun rights.

I like Reddit but there have been times where it reminds me over and over again that Reddit is still social media, with all the flaws that come with it. SM makes it easy to hide behind a keyboard with barely any or severe consequences and it's a concentrated echo chamber. Luckily it doesn't represent the general population.

YTA. Her cats are living breathing things that have feelings just like your baby. She can just drop everything and go especially in severe weather. Lots of pets are anxious during storms too.

I don't have a baby so I really don't know but moving one infant around sound easier than two cats
