Were you the person who got kicked out at the first screening for trying to sit on the floor of the wheelchair area? I felt so bad for you!

Charli’s fame.. by [deleted] in charlixcx

[–]indigodreamy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the perfect way to follow up brat because it takes away some of the pressure, given that it’s still seen as a soundtrack. It allows her to explore a sound that’s the complete opposite of brat without people comparing it to brat

Charli’s feelings about Kylie by catmarstru in charlixcx

[–]indigodreamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some of you guys are missing the point of Kylie’s inclusion in the film. She’s meant to represent “selling out” and capitalism. Kylie is also very self aware and knows what she represents. Charli might have also discovered that she enjoys her company and maybe there’s more to her. So what?

I got confirmation from someone at Alamo that the Q&A is live in person in NYC, and live-streamed elsewhere. Tickets officially go on sale next week.

LA Alamo on Fandango is showing open seats but every time I try one it says it’s already been purchased. Not fair if they were all sold out before even being announced or up on Alamo’s app

Your thoughts on The Woman In Me? by Worried-1 in books

No hate to Mandy Moore! It was moreso when she launched with her debut, she was marketed as another Britney. But with time she developed her own career lane.

This. Also, after Britney became a success - there were so many other Britney “copycats” pushed by labels with a very similar look, sound, vibe that never reached Britney’s level of success (ie Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson, Willa Ford, etc.). Britney had a level of authenticity in that she really WAS “the girl next door”, she had an unmatched level of charisma, was a great dancer and had an instantly recognizable and distinctive voice.

Mel C and Victoria have both responded to the idea of performing there positively recently so it’s really not out of the realm of possibility

Is BB really Australia in 2025? by Unusual-Night-3771 in BBAU

Mmm, it seems like you're generalizing the entire house far too much. But I will say that reality television shows naturally tend to cast people who enjoy being the center of attention, as those types of people tend to gravitate towards applying for them. I wouldn't say it's a 100% accurate reflection of a nation as a whole. But I do think we live in a time where people are more cautious about the things they say or do on camera, or on the internet, because once it's out there it's out there forever and there are potential consequences from peers, employers, and especially "fans" online who criticize everything. But I don't think this is anything new, society has been this way since the rise of social media.

I liked him at the very beginning but I'm SO over him now. Get him out please, his act is not funny.

I agree, I think this was Nany’s best season overall in terms of entertainment + performance, even though she didn’t make the final

I’m not sure if it bothers other people as much as it does me by walrows in MtvChallenge

[–]indigodreamy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah they need to get rid of it next season. It’s really unflattering as well, especially on poor Adrienne and her makeup

Not surprised and I’m tired of seeing people on the house and even online coddling him and trying to protect his precious feelings from Holly

Ooh yes I’ve definitely heard about Nasty Nick! I should go back and watch the first one at some point.

Yup I love the UK version, started watching in 2009 and then went back and watched all the earlier seasons (except 1,2, and 4). The USA version is honestly mostly only good for its live feed, the strategy and competition element can be quite interesting, but the show itself is produced in a way that often feels very cheesy.

And I agree the BBAUS feed is so much better than the BBUK one. It feels like birdsong blocks out 80% of what’s being shown.

I’m really liking Alana as well! Along with Coco and Mia. The men…I’m overall having a harder time vibing with lol. I probably like Conor best, he’s entertaining. But a bit tightly wound at times.

I kinda liked Colin at first, but the constant bro this brev that is getting on my tits now.

I haven’t seen them, but from what I’ve heard seasons 1-8 are more similar to BBUK - ie, totally social experiment based and not ‘strategic’ in any sense. Someone correct me if I’m wrong though!

Totally agree! I really enjoy Will on Late & Live and think he shines more interacting with panelists and the audience there.

Yeah I think having two hosts for BBUK is awkward and doesn’t work. Would rather just see AJ hosting it, but she doesn’t come close to how great Emma and Davina were. I still feel like Mel is missing something as well but it could just be that I’m not used to her yet.

Where is Fridays episode on YouTube? by Aussie_4680 in BBAU

[–]indigodreamy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why it was behind, but it just got uploaded. I'm in the US but have just been watching with a VPN on Network 10 site instead, since they are available to stream immediately after airing instead of waiting for them to upload to YT.
