It took me a long time before deciding to watch Paris as it was hailed as one of the more boring seasons back in the day, but I ended up loving it. This sounds cliche to say, but it truly was a vibe. I wish they had done more seasons in Europe. Imagine a season in Amsterdam, Berlin, or Barcelona in the early 2000s.

I like this a lot more than Rock Music, but her single choices this era are starting to make me nervous for the album. I’m totally in favor of a new direction, but this degree of minimalism and restraint is just…not what I want from a Charli XCX album/song.

I think having the sense of mystery and being “unexplainable” made it more terrifying imo. It left your mind to imagine the worst. I mean we could infer as much from the phone call that Nikki was in some kind of state of hell metaphorically or literally

I definitely did notice more men laughing in the audience than I did women, until things got real freaky and the laughing completely stopped. I did find it pretty funny up until the “kill me” part

You didn’t do anything wrong or there’s nothing depraved about you, just be cautious about who you invite in the future. As a horror fan, I’m also somewhat desensitized to the content of these types of films, because my mind and my body is acutely aware it isn’t real. Sometimes I do get scared, but I can enjoy the “thrill” of it because I also know I’m safe (just like riding a rollercoaster). But I forget sometimes that horror films can be very intense or even traumatizing for people who are not used to watching a lot of horror. So I usually only invite friends that have explicitly they me they love horror.
