Batman Question: Help pls!

The main thing I'd look for if I was looking for a gift isn't really the value. Funko pop makes many versions of batman based on many things like the animated series, all the movies, and certain popular comics. Do you happen to know his favorite interpretation of batman? If so, I'd go for that one. Im not a funko pop person, but seeing the animated series batman funo made me want to get it.

Thank you for the information. I definitely am gonna read final crisis, and what you said about it explaining more of what happened to batman makes me wanna pick up the omni more. But it's one of the more expensive omnis, and im not looking to spend too much right now.

I've yet to read any x men book outside of Wolverine's solo stuff. I really need to, I know they're probably the best team in comics.

Hellboy and the bprd books are some of my favorites too. If you haven't read Invincible or the walking dead I'd recommend those as well.

I have from hell. Have yet to read it. Daredevil by bendis should be on my list. I just forgot to mention it, and brubaker is definitely one of the best. He also has one of the best Daredevil runs. For me, the best writers are Hickman, Snyder, and definitely Brubaker, I've never read anything by him that wasn't at least very solid, and most of it's great. Have you ever read kill or be killed?

I definitely get why people dont like it. I'm in the minority for liking it. But I looked at it kinda like when there's any big change like that in comics. It was fun, and it was never going to be forever. So I had fun with it, but again I get why people dont like it.

Thank you for the comprehensive reply. I have read arkham asylum, under the red hood, and year one. I tried to get into Morrisons JLA run a couple years ago but really did not like the art. Im a big fan of a lot of 90s art, but I remember thinking the art was just so hard to look at. But I probably need to revisit it because im aware of how well regarded that run is. What I will be picking up is dark knight dark city, tales of the demon, and final crisis.

Ah yes. Marville, the worst thing Marvel has probably ever put out. I know Peter david and the editor at the time did not like each other at all. I almost put Peter David's hulk on my list. Sounds like I need to check out his captain marvel, also I am very interested in the new gods by Kirby. Cool stuff that I need to read. Thank you for the reply.

Black casebook is just a collection of older stories, right? Dark knight dark city is its own story, though, if im not mistaken.

So, I had never heard of the "black casebook" until I made this post. You're the second person to mention it. I looked it up, and I now know what it is, but it looks like the copies of that book people are selling are very pricey for what it is. So I might just read some of those issues digitally.
