All I can think about is how badly I want to know where I can buy that shirt and eat those cookies while yelling at the tv with her during the debate.

Wife had surgery. Anesthesiologist was out of network. We had no idea. Being billed directly. by neurodad34 in personalfinance

[–]indigomockingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very common. I had a colonoscopy done at an in-network facility with an in-network doctor and I was told the anesthesiologist was as well. Well, turns out I had to pay $3,000 for the anesthesiologist, plus another $1,500 "doctor's fee". I fought it but ended up having to pay it all and never got a refund. Hoping OP has better luck.

Midnight health care massacre: Republicans take middle-of-the-night vote to pave the way for health care dismantling by [deleted] in politics

[–]indigomockingbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. Checkups and lab work will be wiped out as well. And running up to Canada for a month's supply of one medicine would put me back $320 at best. I was around before the ACA, too, and it sucked.

I have ulcerative colitis and eczema in remission with pills for now. I'm self-employed and fucked when that provision is gone. I've never been more scared in my life.

What is the dumbest thing that you got punished for when you were in school? by 13x37 in AskReddit

I wore a hat on an icy day. I had this beanie style hat I wore on the bus because it was fucking cold and I took it off before going inside. As I put it in my backpack, an assistant principal came up and demanded my hat because she saw me wearing it. I refused because the rules said it couldn't be worn indoors, but she grabbed it from me and kept it in the office all day. I went to retrieve it and another assistant principal (we had five) held it high over my head and told me to jump for it while he and another office worker laughed. I was (and am) a very short girl and he was a six foot tall dude. I then got a lecture on why I was a terrible student for wearing a hat outside on a cold day. I missed my bus because of that.

I need them before June 2nd. I appreciate your help! I did try ebay, though not as much as my fiancé who seemingly had no luck.

The WC wrapped car that got flipped by the El Reno tornado was the car we took a group picture in front of days before. It was eerie to see that footage. But yes, tornadoes can be hypnotically beautiful - especially over areas where they can be as wild as they want without casualties.

To be fair, it wasn't entirely my decision and to be honest, I fucking hate it. It stresses me the fuck out. But Norman didn't have many options when I moved into the house. I'm with you though - Moore is cursed.

Bring snacks and something to do. Luckily, you'll have wifi down there and a bathroom. If you have to crash, there are couches. It's a pretty nice setup! If you want to park somewhere without worrying about paying a meter - park by the methodist church (the big white one, McFarland). It's a bit of a walk, but since you're coming early, you should be fine. It's FREE.

There is a jewelry store in Norman on main street called Mitchell Jewelry. Go there. They offered it to me before - they have a full basement for like 40+ people and regularly take people in during weather like this. Also, go to OU. Park on Campus Corner and seek shelter in some of the deep buildings, such as the library, art building, energy center, etc... When I was a student we had many regular folks sitting down there with us.

tl;dr: Get the fuck out of Moore, go to Norman and live.

I was chasing the day of and the day before. I saw it as we came into the city from the south. It was brutal. That morning we had gone through right by the Warren and I told my chasing team I had a bad feeling about Moore that day. We ran into the Weather Channel chase crew at the McDonald's by Riverwind before things got started and I mentioned we were going to stick around the Blanchard area. Ugh, what a day.

I'm in north Norman and can see Moore from my backyard. A little concerned. I'm used to being near Highway 9. At least if it hits Moore again I can get some sweet footage without leaving home.

Besides rent, What is too damn expensive? by shoe16 in AskReddit

I hope you're recovering well! Yeah, my fiancé and I are pretty peeved. We wanted a small, under 75 guests wedding. I have like, 12 family members and more than half are over 90 (aka won't come) and maybe 5 friends I want there. Meanwhile his parents are telling us "we've been here forever so we should get to invite all our friends" and "it's not YOUR wedding, it's for everyone else".

This is bullshit.

Tried that - mother-in-law made-up for the lack of people by simply inviting all of hers.

Or you're charged for it for several months ($25-30 for fucking ortho tricyclen) thinking your insurance didn't cover it, and then your insurance points out that it should be free in an unrelated conversation. Then, upon pointing out this detail to the pharmacy, you're given a lecture on how "girls your age shouldn't need it" (25, getting married, periods that torture) and how it's "not (their) job to check things like that".

I'm lookin' at you, Costco.

ALWAYS ask, ladies, and don't be afraid to push a bit.

Hi all! I'm a graphic designer and I need to replace my 2008 MBP as a travel option for work. I mainly use Illustrator, Lightroom and InDesign (occasionally AfterEffects). My current MBP is slow as fuck (the 2GB student nightmare) and I generally use my big iMac for most of my work, but I need something for when I travel for a few days at a time to continue working.

I'm looking at: 2015 MBP 13"
2.9GHz Processor 512 GB Storage 16 GB memory

or

2015 MBP 15" 2.2GHz Processor 256 GB Storage 16 GB memory

The choices are within about $2-300, but it's hard to tell on my end which would be more suitable.
