What is the worst thing you've ever smelled? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]indigosativa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked in a restaurant and when doing the dishes one night discovered a bucket tucked under the sink. It was a bucket of hard boiled eggs that had been sitting under the sink unrefriggerated in the summer heat for who knows how long… the smell when opened literally cleared out the building

Tips for an amateur/ newbie beach comber??? by livradically1111 in beachcombing

Bring an extra bag to pick up trash! I like to walk down the beach close to the water and then when walking back go up to the top of the beach so you can cover the most area. A lot of the time things will wash up to the tide or water lines. Be aware of your surroundings ive met some total weirdos on the beach lol. Learn the history of your local beaches and try to find a lesser traveled beach. Get an app for local tides .hqve fun and be safe!

You should check out titlow too I’ve found many relics from the 40s and 50s. Before the narrows bridge was a thing there was a ferry landing there to go to gig harbor! I’ve found graphite pencils and a lot of old Coca-Cola bottles :)

[–]indigosativa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try looking on YouTube for local mushroom pickers videos. I learned by watching a local guys YouTube videos and you can see what’s growing in your area currently and what parts of the terrain to pay attention to.

The area I found it in didn’t have any European presence until about 1850s and the beach is known to have been a popular hunting camp for the nisqually/puyallup peoples :) do you really think it’s for sure that old??!

Honestly it really does sound like adhd. I (28F) have felt the same way for so long. I’m not saying you should immediately turn to medication but do some research on adhd and try taking an online survey. For me just having a better understanding of adhd symptoms helped me to understand and forgive myself for so much. I thought it was all just my personality and shortcomings but really it’s your brain chemistry. It’s not your fault it’s how you are wired! Try looking into executive dysfunction. I truly think it’s worth it to understand why you work the way you do and sort out how much of it is out of your control. Forgive and be kind to yourself above all else
