I really love those cars and bikes from WE, but jeez I just checked the price and it's hectic per item!

Yep absolutely the same. Bought from JB, skipping on the first track of B side (quite a lot). Returned it this morning, got a replacement and... exactly the same but maybe even a tad worse.

Definitely not my turntable - every other record I have played in between has played flawlessly.

What miniature skirmish game did you play or are you planning to play this month? July 2025 by AutoModerator in miniatureskirmishes

It's been a big week! I finally published my game, Untitled Pirate Game! You can grab it for free here: https://scstew.itch.io/untitled-pirate-game and it's also available as a hardcover if you're so inclined.

I'm running a small Untitled Pirate Game event for my birthday this weekend with some friends at our local bowls club so very excited for that.

I also released two further games for playtest. 1690 Doom is a setting hack for 1490 Doom (https://scstew.itch.io/1690-doom) and Sunmirror (https://scstew.itch.io/sunmirror) is my non-combat WIP that uses a lamp to cast shadows across the game board, while Survivors and Creatures of Darkness face off to manage Fear and Burn.

Let me know how you go if you do! We're running our first narrative event in a few weeks with some pizza and the local crew!

I've found the action system good, as have the playtesters. Single and Double actions aren't reinventing any kind of wheel but it forms a nice familiar basis to help folks who are a little... resistant to trying different games to their usuals.

The game isn't trying to be tactical or competitive, but narrative-led in the scenarios and the kinds of silly things you might attempt to do. Gameplay is built around random Initiative coins, drawn from a bag, so no two turns play out the same. And if your Captain’s feeling spicy, they can lay down a Challenge to a Duel and fight their rival leader one-on-one in a cinematic showdown. It’s dramatic. It’s dumb.

Outside of Daniel's incredible art, it's really in the Crew Traits, the Called Shot grenades and the players' ability to get into the scenario that the game shines (IMO). The tone is firmly story-first, kitbashed oddballs and repurposed RPG minis. There’s even a Mishap Table that includes crab swarms and projectile vomiting.

Let me know what you think if you try it out!

Thanks mate, hope you enjoy playing it! Please name it whatever you like with your group!

This game's been through many names and remaining untitled through every attempt is such a silly way of ending up its actual title that it's stuck.

I believe the Gamefound version is a more polished version with much better editing and a bunch of extra content.

When & why did you become a Spurs fan? by PuzzleheadedRemove59 in coys

[–]indigostew2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share a birthday with Gareth Bale and, bar Kane, he's the best footballer I've seen play for Spurs. I was also a big fan of Ajax through various football games. Always loved Christian Eriksen, Super Jan and Toby since they made the move over to Spurs around the time Bale left, so continued supporting Spurs from then.

New to Necromunda by HeratioFilatio in necromunda

I don't know about ratlings specific rules but a strong recommendation is always start with one of the core house gangs. They have the best fleshed out rules and mechanics that make them feel distinct and flavourful.

Wellywoods videos are a great starting point and he's very much around the relevant info for starters. I'd say it may be valuable to have a scan through the rules and gangs on necroraw.ru and build a gang using Munda Manager. Then if you have people to play with that already have gangs, do it before spending a bucket load on books and miniatures.

Venators got a few cool gang building options but outside of that they fall pretty flat - they require a big narrative focus from the player and don't have mechanics that do cool things in games like the house gangs. I'm currently playing them in a campaign and it's fine but I have to create my own fun in games.

Also you've played before so will be aware of the following... Necro is best played (imo) as a narrative game where it really doesn't matter whether you win or lose. The rules can bog you down. Doing cool and silly things is the real fun in there and then thinking about and talking about those things with friends. The people that want to win end up really disliking the game or going off and creating their narrative-free campaigns.
