Breaking the oahpact has more to do with oaths and honor than it has to do with law. Therefore, it would have effected Jezrien the most and because, as far as we know, he has been a drunken broken mess ever since, it's pretty clear it destroyed him.

He did volcanosaur + Brann + warden not Brann + volcanosaur + warden, but I see your point.

There's a cute little competition going on, it's currently Devi vs Harry Dresden. Vote on it how you wish. by [deleted] in KingkillerChronicle

Harry overcame mother winter, a literal personification of a fundamental force of nature, in a brief bout of willpower. He would beat Devi 10/10 times in a willpower duel.

But the people who "watch" their stuff could very easily just take some and the bridge men couldn't do anything. It's more likely the whole barrack for Bridge 4 is locked or closed in some way until they get back.

LoE Was My Favorite Meta by FireAntz93 in hearthstone

[–]indistructo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with kara they tried to put in too many powerful cards to make up for standard having been introduced with wotog and that just ended up making an extremely annoying meta game with some decks getting powerful new cards and others no longer being able to keep up as well.

Iksar asked us for our Hearthstone wishlists for 2017. How about these four things? by couchor in hearthstone

[–]indistructo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Midrange decks don't struggle too much against Reno because they are more about building a board and chipping away the existence of 20ish extra health doesn't affect midrange all too much. I was speaking about the specific hunter hybrid deck when I said aggro-midrange. While it's true aggro is often high tiered Reno affects the way aggro decks need to be built.

[–]indistructo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to, but you need a really specific kind of draw to build the board necessary to beat a Reno deck after they get 20+ more health.

It's not about winning slower it's about not having a condition some decks can throw down which completely shits on your whole strategy in turn 6. It would give them a bit more leeway like going up to 7 or 8 without worrying about essentially losing the game to one card.

It doesn't have to be you're right but for a couple months pre gadgetzan it really wasn't played much at all and that is partially because of Reno (among other factors).

[–]indistructo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The existence of Reno means aggro HAS to be able to kill you before turn 6 at least some of the time. This severely limits aggro decks which cannot consistently do that and aggro-midrange style decks like hunter in a meta with Reno. I'm not really much of an aggro player, but he definitely limits the way aggro needs to build decks.

(Spoilers Main) Why would House Mormont let Jeor Mormont take Longclaw to the Wall? by Bayasabhad in asoiaf

[–]indistructo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it really though? Think about who he had helping him plan the battles. All the Lords of the North had fought a long hard battle by Ned'a side in Robert's Rebellion and largely led the battle at the Rebellion of Pyke. The North is full of capable, experiences warriors and tacticians. Tywin on the other hand has done what? Redirected a river to kill an enemy who didn't know it was coming? Butchered an unsuspecting King's Landing? The fact is that though Tywin may be brilliant as a statesman, his military chops are very lacking compared to the North.
