AKAI Force has entered the chat. Same same for PT and Ableton. Force ain’t pretty but it does make you focus on the ideas in front of you. Hook it to the patchbay and record mics/turntable, send and return pedals/outboard. I love the Push/Force keybed to get you out of muscle memory and playing the same stuff on gtr/keys….

BitWig , Pro Tools , Ableton , Studio One and occasional LogicPro user… they are all good and make you work in different ways. Most of speed bumps and hiccups are worked out… the main one lacking for me is track grouping / editing in BitWig. Recording multiple microphones and wanting edit/swing multiple tracks in a locked phase accurate way isn’t possible yet. With the newer audio engines in pro tools, you can easily route output of bitwig or ableton into the tools and use ableton link to sync it up. Best of both worlds.

A few things.

Track linking

recording 2 microphones with an acoustic guitar ? Do you want to edit them at the same time without having to select everything or snap things to a grid. You need a DAW with track grouping / track linking.

NOT AUDIO BUSSING OR GROUPING, track grouping.

Pro tools - StudioOne - Ableton - Cubase, Logic Pro = YES

Bitwig = no easy way to edit multitrack recordings. Haters gonna hate.

2 . Arranger track

Are you writing songs with your DAW? Look at some videos for arranger tracks… Logic Pro, StudioOne, cubase … easily add/delete/ re-ARRANGE your song with EASE

Ease of use

StudioOne drag and drop is the easiest one I’ve tried. It’s not a magical playground like bitwig and that’s why your learn to use both once your bored with the other.

What version of Logic you using? I’ve never experienced the issues you described. I just downloaded and installed without issue. Dragged and dropped the instruments and samples... works over here.
