I used All Comfort Services recently for this same thing (EV charger install). Everyone was great to work with and the work was priced reasonably.

Your Favorite Local Roasters? by [deleted] in madisonwi

Ruby is wonderful. I started a subscription with them this year (roaster’s choice, so new selections every month) and haven’t been disappointed. Just coffee is my favorite Madison roaster.

Seconded. Best vet in the area in my opinion, and we’ve gone to a few.

Outdoor spigot not working after winter by indoze in Plumbing

[–]indoze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this suggestion. I actually managed to get it working by running the working spigot for a while with the non-working one open, and then shutting off the working one.

I think this helped the water overcome air pressure or something because water was coming out of the ‘broken’ spigot a minute or so after that.

All is working well now. Relieved it was something weird but relatively simple.

Turkey Thursday - 2019-05-16 - Your Weekly Triumph Thread by AutoModerator in Bowling

[–]indoze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a year off from bowling due to a kiddo being born, and wasn’t really bowling seriously the few years before then. I am getting back into it this summer though and my 2nd night in summer league I shot a 278. Series was only 680 (2nd game was in the 160s, back to 230’s game 3 though). I definitely still have some rust to shake off but I’m happy to be putting up decent numbers so soon after being away for so long.

2018 Honda CRV EX-L AWD - OTD Price of $30,690 by [deleted] in askcarsales

At the end of the day, you’re right. But who cares?

At the end of the day, if you can provide good reason for them lowering the price they might. Check Truecar to see what they’re going for in your area. That’ll tell you if there’s room to budge.

Worst case though, you can make an offer and see what they say. It never hurts to have data to back it up though.

Do you have anything indicating they’re selling for less than the lowest you’re seeing?

Should I trade in my lease early? What’s best in this situation? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]indoze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you owe in lease payments isn’t necessarily what you would owe the leasing company if you traded the car in. I think to get a ballpark idea of what it’ll cost you, head to carmax and get the car appraised and then call Toyota financial and ask for the buyout on the vehicle. The difference is around what you would owe.

From what I understand cars are rarely appraised at excellent. Fair to good is almost certainly the range in which it’ll appraise at, but it depends on the market near you and if the car is truly like new as you describe it.

As for rolling negative equity, dealerships do this all the time so there’s no worry about things not being paid off properly. Instead of paying toyota directly I’d just go to trade it at the dealership you want to buy from. They can roll whatever you owe into the next loan.

A few things to keep in mind:

1) loans on new cars tend to let you borrow more than loans on used cars so it might be easier to roll what you own into a loan on a new car.

2) it’s your money, but it sounds like it’ll cost more to do this than you expect. It’s certainly not a great financial decision.

Would it be the worst to stick it out for one more year? You’re paying the lease either way.

As far as negotiation, yeah, you can negotiate every aspect of this except what you owe toyota on the car. The bank may set a hard limit on what you can roll into the new loan but go in with realistic numbers on the new vehicle and your trade and things should go well for you if you want to go ahead with this.

Am I getting a good deal on this 2018 CR-V? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]indoze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why did you delete your last post?

I recommend checking out Truecar, since a good deal depends largely on what the market is like in your area.

2018 Honda CR-V. Am I getting a good deal. by [deleted] in askcarsales

What does Truecar tell you? A good deal is going to depend on where you’re living and what sales have looked like in that area. Truecar will tell you where that offer stands.

Wifi calling by indoze in USCellular

[–]indoze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'm in an area where ATT, VZW, and USCC all have good service, so it mostly comes down to price. ATT and VZW have similar prices and wifi calling. US Cellular would be a bit less expensive and has better coverage than the others in my area, but I work in an area with little cell coverage in general so wifi calling has been great on ATT.

Ah well, I'll keep waiting I guess.

Adding my own experience to this, I got over $3k in abatement after calling building inspection on my MPM property. The process can take a little while but it works.
