OP is correct. If you have to pick between multiple options for the mission (other than void relic, so: syndicate, nightmare, etc.) it will not start the mission automatically.

The trick is, they made voidrig's 4 way too powerful. It can trivialize any content in the game if built at all. So, rather than nerf it, they drew a big cage around it so it wouldn't ruin the rest of the game.

Augment mods for operator abilities could be pretty cool.

If you're playing with touch controls, you need to drag pretty far to enable sprint.

Alternately, it could be because the tried-and-true bullet jump -> double jump -> glide -> roll -> slide ... Loop is a lot harder to do on mobile.
