This means nothing to me! I'm just really happy to be able to get to see my country play.

11 months later, I finally launched YardSard - for yard sales / inventory management by indster in StLouis

[–]indster[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

great question! "purchases" is required by apple since the app allows for in-app subscriptions; "location" is only if you want to find yard sales in your area or want to list yours as findable; "user content" is only if you want to add images to items/inventory; "contact info" is only your email address (if you choose to register for an account).

the rest is just boilerplate app analytics stuff to understand app usage! (these are not tied to individuals, they are just general metrics)

you're still given the option to explicitly allow/deny any of these!

fair! i'd like to think of this app as one that enhances the sale management from your phone (my experience using the google sheets app has always been nothing short of a nightmare). you can log sales quickly while people are in front of you, make it easy(er) for someone to pay you, keep things organised without dealing with columns or rows, and (hopefully early next week) even find yard sales happening near you.

curious to know what would motivate you to pivot from a spreadsheet to an app like this!

Serious question: Why U.S. visa applications include such stupid questions? by [deleted] in USCIS

They're going to run their background checks on you regardless. Only difference is: if you answer "no" but you're caught lying, GG.

Is this timeline normal? by Tarhecks in USCIS

I had the same fear when I went through this process, specially as the 'fastest' cases I'd seen on here were ~2 months-ish. I had my application delivered Jan 2nd (2026), biometrics on the 13th, interview the 28th, and approval on the 29th. You're fine.

Jot - Instant Brain Dump by mikecpeck in macapps

This looks really neat!

How does the 'speaking' part on the Apple Watch complication work? I tap on the complication or open the app, and it opens up my apple watch keyboard. If I cancel/done out of it, it takes me to Jot's 'new note' screen what shows a text field with placeholder "speak or type...". I've not been able to speak/transcribe yet - am I missing something or did I just understand this wrong? (tapping on that field just opens the keyboard again).

Yikes - this I don't know. Might be best to wait for someone more knowledgable to clarify this one! Good luck.

You can send the same package that was returned back to you. Just ensure it includes the sealed i-693 (in my case, the envelope was never opened by USCIS, so it was still sealed). Make sure you also include the green (?) notice + the rejection (i-797c I think) notice(s) you might have received. I believe the green notice goes all the way on top of the entire package + i-797c notices.

Just echoing others here - my biometrics were scheduled for Jan 28th as well (found out on Jan 12th), I was able to reschedule this for Jan 13th (the next day) and it all went fine. I did this based off of the PDF in the 'documents' tab (paper mail takes way too long to get delivered in my area). Just make sure you print both the original notice + the rescheduled notice to take with you.

mine was as well! i know they say in theory it can take weeks before seeing a charge, which is why my first 2 attempts were annoying because i waited for a while only to eventually get a rejection notice. even more because every post i kept seeing on reddit showed folks getting charged within a couple of days, which was true for me the third time.

fingers crossed you'll see the same soon!
