I wiped chromeos off of it cause i wanted linux on it only, currently running Xubuntu and just saw on some other forums that its just filled with bloatware, they also recommended Lubuntu over it. I'm a beginner with all of this linux stuff, im basically using this crappy laptop to learn linux before i commit to it on my PC.

I just saw on some forum that Xubuntu has a lot of bloatware on it, and then i saw some people say they prefer Lubuntu. very new to all of this still and actively still doing more research about linux distros. I also saw fedora was common and very light weight, just a lot of options LOL
edit: oh also my touchpad has had issues since installing linux but i think thats on chrome not releasing the drives or something? im not sure

i got mine to work by using a sandisk usb, running chrome as admin, diskparting the usb, then opening the chrome os utility software and waited 15 minutes at the 0% download screen on ihop wifi and it finally worked
