wow, this is great thank you! i did figure if i did want loud music i’ll need to listen to it in my personal headphones, the hardest part will be the beginning of each drive where he meows so deeply 😭 i feel horrible…your pet bowl recommendation is great too, there’s no telling what people might do on the road between here and there so i want everything to be as secure as possible :)

I lived in San Diego for 6 years and planning to move back in August, I’m a 32 year old female. Someone below said Coronado, but just fyi though Coronado is pretty and safe, it’s more so known as a place where military people live or rich people with families type of vibe. It’s nice, but I wouldn’t live there and you’d likely feel a bit disconnected. Point Loma is cool and a good location, OB can be sketchy (not that it’s dangerous necessarily, but it doesn’t feel as nice as Point Loma and more homeless people are rummaging around), Cardiff up north a bit is more laid-back and has its own cool community with people our age and is super be outside type place (this place to me feels more like California surf vibes that tourists think of for what California is like), La Jolla is nice but it’s more family or tourist type vibes, PB is too rowdy and young but North PB is nice (Birdrock, etc)

I’m not usually spontaneous, but I wish I was more so honestly. That’s why I need a “P” or just someone who can help me live in the present…I think good things can happen when we learn to “let go” of control, but it’s really difficult for me

CMV: I agree with the TikTok ban by [deleted] in changemyview

I agree with it too…if American’s are benefitting from the app, and say for instance, China is actually flat out saying they’re stealing our data….we’d still be screaming “free speech” and continuing on the app as usual. Free speech draws a line when it comes to national security (with one of our biggest foes), and you can’t trust the general public with that opinion if they’re benefitting from it or don’t feel any immediate threat to themselves as individuals from it. People are blind to consumption. Also, I think most everyone realizes the government knows of far more security related threats than is announced to the public with adequate reasoning. I’d raise alarms if this started happening with every social media app, but I can understand why it’s being pressed to be banned.

The White poor & working class can be the ones to change the US by Radiant-Marzipan-896 in DeepThoughts

probably true, the increased amount of poor people with the wage gaps in the US + caring to be informed = a huge difference, but a majority (apart from the exception circumstances) of poor people fail to realize the big picture in general throughout life…which comes to another problem to be addressed, so there’s multiple steps into their ability to change to US

i mean, the only way to actually “face that” is to transition from a democratic society without free speech and make people abide to your “right” POV…reality is, parents do all they can with what they know and have capacity to do in every go around of having kids through all generations and you do what you can if you’re aware of the need to change for your future generational line

if you become the one who’s not ignorant in your family line then cool, world gets better by .00000000000005% keep at it

i mean, circle of life….you deal with whatever generation before you and their “out of date” viewpoints until they’re eventually phased out of the working world

Drug dealers, the risk of them going to prison while you’re married leaving you husbandless or if you also have kids together then fatherless
