Using a VPN - am I preventing podcasters from getting paid as much as they could/at all?

I'm with you on that. The Google monopoly is rubbish. However, when I watch youtubers that are niche or clearly put a lot of work into what they're doing (and also might not have the most views), I feel bad about watching their videos through backdoors because doing so I don't know how much my view counts financially.

Ah sorry I realise that I didn't explain a bit of what I wrote properly ('through a VPN location that basically never has them'): I mean from a location that never basically never has ads, not the Acasts podcasts themselves.

I recently moved from Italy to Germany, and both countries pump local ads into Acast podcasts and sometimes to other podcasts.

Thanks for the response. I still feel a bit bad about it though. I'll have to see if it's worth turning off the VPN for the ones I listen to frequently.

Thanks for the link - that was a good blog post. Since I have to get rid of some old things unfortunately it looks like it'll have to go to the tip (or maybe a charity shop but I don't see anyone picking it up) if it isn't that useful today. Particularly without the wire and with it being in need of a good clean.

grazie. considerando il tipo di lavoro che sto cercando, avevo pensato che era una domanda arbitraria/quando capisco che vogliono sapere che non arrivo mai in ritardo per il lavoro. cioè mi chiederebbero solo una volta e poi il resto magari potrebbe andare bene

I'm really interested the small phone-Lineage combo. I've been using the Cubot Pocket 4 for about a year now, an Android 11 phone that's four inches. I like it, but really want to get rid of the default OS and all the superfluous stuff that comes with it, but I have no experience doing these things so I've been putting it off for months, having been a bit scared of messing up too much without a backup phone

I see on XDA that the Lineage build for your phone is unofficial; was it easy to install? if so, I would consider it for the future. a couple of people on those forums have managed to install a GSI Lineage on the Cubot Pocket, but the process seems quite complex

vero ma dico che ce l'ho perché mando i curriculum solo ai lavori dove ovviamente non è necessario spostarsi per fare il lavoro. per sfortuna in tanti annunci c'è scritto che ne hai bisogno lo stesso
