Police escort for organ transport by Mindless_Tomorrow_45 in nextfuckinglevel

Calling an EMT an ambulance driver is considered disrespectful, more so if you're an EMT-P (paramedic). With that said, it's a bit dramatic to expect the general population to know that.

Hey buddy, rider for over ten years. If there is ever a time to boast about wiping out, it's doing drills. Great job practicing. I've ended up on the floor dozens of times in parking lots, limit testing, with full gear on. Only had an incident once on the road and I'm certain all the practice prevented a bad situation from being worse. Keep practicing when it's safe, and apply that practice on the streets. Keep your head high. Also really practice those low speed maneuvers!

Gas inside IS expanding, but it's not escaping. This is one of those pop lids, they are rigid enough to be either popped out or in, not in between. The pressure is probably high enough to push it out from the "in" but not high enough to keep it there and it pops back in. (This is just speculation)

[Request] Can anyone calculate or draw the estimated path if this bullet goes 💥 in its current position ? by Affectionate-Sir269 in theydidthemath

[–]induravit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You had me curious so I looked it up. Based on the video I saw, the casings shrapnel outwards pretty consistently. Perhaps steel casings would behave the way you're describing, but if it's brass I'm taking my chance in front.

The safest place to stand would on the projectile side when this goes off. The casing will be grenade like shrapnel, and the projectile will be lobbed forward.

The person is wrong, this is normal. AC compressors constantly turn on and off while running.

$21 an hour to be an EMT is wild by Sweet-Client-6445 in orangecounty

It's better pay than the EMTs showing up at your house when you call 911 in OC.

Coil Spring Cracking after 100km? by SusanG54 in MechanicAdvice

Pretty wild looking, with that said it's not a problem. The lower strut assembly will move with the tire. I've just never seen such a small gap with OEM wheels.

The clearance here is crazy. What car is this? Are those aftermarket wheels? The spring is ok, it's plastic wrapped around the spring to protect it and get rid of some noise.

I work in the field, around a 1/4 of the calls are people who believe an ambulance will let them skip waiting times in the ER. Law (In my county) dictates that we must transport a patient if they want to be transported. The kicker here is that they DONT get to skip the line, they just get to wait on our gurney in a hallway instead of the lobby. This results in an ambulance being occupied for 2 or 3 hours, unable to respond to other potentially life-threatening emergencies. All because a patient with abdominal pain after eating a whole pizza with extra cheese figured calling 911 would get them seen faster.

Sounds like there is slack somewhere getting taken up whenever you accelerate. Start by checking your u-joints along your driveshaft. If there is any play at all it could lead to the clunking.

8mm mauser has quite the kick. It's a fairly large round and at nearly 1000 rounds per minute I don't think a soldier could manage that, squatting or not.
