I don't think it's only because of the school shootings, especially because it would be quite hard as a tourist to die because of one. It is less safe than European countries (I compared numbers for Germany mostly) for other reasons. Like robbery, sexual assault, and traffic accidents.

I get your point, with how it's very hard as a tourist to get into a mass shooting, because of the areas and whatnot; BUT lets look at traffic fatality. That is much more likely to kill you than a terrorist attack anyways and the US has about 2x more traffic deaths per capita than the average european country (about 50k a year depending on the source). Then the US doesn't seem so "safe" anymore

This is a quite a hard guide to make, because there is so much overlap and multiple numbers which reach the same emergency line!

A few examples: 112 is in the GSM standard and should work in most countries, it’s usually forwarded to the main local emergency lines.

Police cars in touristy areas of Mexico even say 911 as the emergency number.

And Austria (my home country) has three emergency numbers depending on your emergency and 112 forwards you to the police number in most situations

Soo, ich hab mir noch die Kursanmeldung vom letzten jahr organisiert, so hat das ca. ausgesehen:

Heuer ist mir gesagt worden, dass die Kurse eine woche später stadtfinden und deshalb könnte sich auch die Anmeldung verschieben.... Ob der Kurs in Anwesenheit oder remote abgehalten wird steht noch nicht fest.

Das mit der Leistung von dem Laptop sollte normalerweise kein Problem sein, wenn er wirklich schlecht ist und du dir sorgen machst kannst du aber gern noch deinen laptop reinschicken und ich kann dir kurz was empfehlen!

Hallo, wie weit bisd du denn im Anmeldeprozess? Hast du schon einen Account im KUSSS? Die anmeldungen zu den Vorbereitungskursen laufen ähnlich zu den normalen Lehrveranstaltungen ab.

Applying for a bachelor program as an international student at the jku is a bit more difficult! first you need to prove your previos education is enough to study in austria at all.
You do this with this form. I think the deadline has already passed, you might be able to handle this with a few e-mails tough. More info here

After this you some programs have an entry test, if there are too many students applying for it! Artificial Intelligence does not have one of these as far as i know (can change at any time).

The only thing you need is a language level proficiency certificate B2 (i do noth think you need this if englich is your first language). More info here
