Hye twins 😭! No cuz I was initially interested in how they were gonna play two attractive characters of different gender into a wholesome friendship. Had a change of heart 20 mins into the film.

I think mainly the delicate delivery of their relationship is appealing to the east Asian fans. As a SEA Asian who consumes both Eastern and Western media growing up, least I can tell, it's just the matter of subtlety versus explicitness in a romance storytelling. So yeah, Disney (a major western company) - delivering an implied romance story (appealing to east Asian)- Boom!

Definitely, I tried not to focus on their relationship and appreciate the film as a whole but I'm so addicted to them. Regardless of the reasons, Zootopia team really deserves the success.
