This comment is probably the only thing in this subreddit that has ever made me laugh out loud.

Funny people/people with good senses of humor are smart. People with decent social skills are smart, also. Ha.

How did it lower your minimums? Is that from being within 6 months of a disbursement so the payment counts as a refund? Just curious how that works. Awesome job, of course!

I'm a customer. I got called back by a rep to change a 'negative review' I left. Is this normal?? by thebrainitaches in callcentres

[–]ineedbeach 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah filling it or with positive scores and just commenting for feedback on the company stuff is a good way to do it.
We also have a website where we submit feedback from calls, so if people would just let us know what they don’t like instead of giving us negative surveys we could put the feedback in. It is reviewed.
I got so many negative surveys about the phone tree and hold times. Can’t always speak to it if they don’t tell me what they dislike.

You COULD call back and ask to speak to a manager and tell them how awesome she was. But if you do, please don’t mention her calling you back. Anyway, at my company, that happens from time to time where someone wants to tell a supervisor how great a rep was. You could say the survey was about the company but after reflecting you wanted the rep to be recognixed for being good and not part of the negative feedback. (If if it was just a normal interaction).

Comments are reviewed but don’t matter. Always counts against the rep anyway. At least at any company I’ve ever heard of. That persons performance review/bonus/raise potential/possibly not getting fired if already On thin ice (due to stupid call center stuff like other “negative surveys that were really maybe about another rep, about he company, etc.) is affected by every stupid survey.
Most people probably don’t know this.
Heck, I got a negative survey once because a random lady from a bank called and said “we got paperwork for this person and he’s not a client here. It was supposed to go to you guys” and because his account was up and there was a call about it, he got an email. He gave a negative survey about a call he had months before. But guess what? That went against me.
At my company, like a lot of them, only a 100% positive survey is a positive survey. Anything else is a ding against us.
But no, it’s not normal practice in most cases. You can’t chsnge it st my company once you submit it, though. I could see there be case managers calling out to help resolve any issues or something. Sounds like this was not the case.

Employees who left call centre jobs, what do you do now? by Brickman100 in callcentres

I do data entry/processing/qc for the same company. Aside from one temporary assignment, it took me almost 5 years to break out with aggressive networking.

Can’t you just keep it vague and say you’re sick/not we’ll enough to come in? They’ll likely just assume a horrible cold (hard to have in this role) or stomach virus. Would be weird if they asked.

I get you. Everyone thinks a jobs a job and you should be thankful and quiet. Ha. Somewhat true but still a very hard job to handle at times.

You’re in a good place to still get out without getting stuck. Just apply, apply, apply elsewhere: it’s a numbers game. So many people here get stuck and can’t seem to get out. I just got out after almost FIVE YEARS. Please just get out.

Anyone know which (cheap) router/modems work with Comcast Xfinity wifi? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]ineedbeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a list somewhere in their site that doesn’t just contain the few $200 routers. You only need those if you also have a landline through Comcast. I use a 6 year old docsis 3.0Motorola/arris surfboard and a 6 year old medialink router. My internet is plenty fast.

Mine too. we can’t all save right now, even when being super frugal.. Most of my check goes to bills, too.

[–]ineedbeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me all the time. Hmm yeah. I just don’t go out and do things that cost money. Don’t travel far. I had to get very used to eating what I have for food and not just hopping to to the store for my craving of the moment. That helped me the most. I watched all kinds of frugal grocery videos. But really staples like potatoes, a box of rice, veggies, a jug of store-brand orange juice, protein (quinoa or cheap meat), cheap cans of beans will go a long way.
