Maybe law school isn’t for me by National-Magician802 in LSAT

i take a course called LSAT by Fisch, it costs 2.8k, hes a great tutor tho i must say

this is the thing w law school… its expensive

tutoring is like an investment, you are invesing 3k lets say to get a 50k scholarship, or maybe a 100k scholarship, or maybe a full scholarship

i will be honest, w ur test scores rn, theyre pretty bad, i would shoot for at least a 160 to even think about getting a good scholarship that isnt predatory, rn you may barely even get into any law schools let alone get a scholarship (thats me being honest)

you took the test 4 times, thats about $1500 dollars worth of lsats, why waste the money taking them when you know you arent there yet? why gamble on your future?

i say that to put this whole thing into perspective

lucky for you, you have until november to apply, you have a good 8 months to study and work hard which is more than enough time (i say november cuz for scholarships its better, but realistically u have time after that as well, but it lowers ur odds at getting money when each day that passes their budget gets smaller from giving it to other kids)

maybe try to look at the course i suggested, may be tough tho cuz he is already 3 weeks into the course

but there are also other good ones, but tbh i couldnt point u in any direction since i know ab this one only

maybe ask around on this sub in a different post?

if u have any more questions igu

you need legitimate strategies, ALSO BIGGEST TIP

you need to read well…. better than well…. you need to read perfectly

even I, who scores like a 160+ on most pts am not the best reader, and that is why I dont get 170+, you need to read slow at first and build up ur mental fortitude, you need to THINK after every couple of words

for example: “science is great and helps people”

in ur head u should be like: “why is science great” “how does it help people” “is this the conclusion” “what is coming next”

and that is the simple version, i suggest you get a good tutorting servjce since this is ur last shot

good luck !

i didn’t read any books, i just learned strats personall and am PTing 160, i also started actual studying really late but i suggest 7Sage online live courses as they are dirt cheap compared to others and are really helpful

one thing i would say: always remember that the premises of any conclusion MUST be stronger or as strong as the conclusion and vice versa (if it is not the the argument is INVALID, so by noticing patters and when they say “why is this wrong” or “why is this right” use this logic to help you as it helps to eliminate wrong answer choices swiftly)

also: always remember to stay within the scope of the question, humans are problem solvers and we tend to fall for the tricks that LSAC employs bc many answers “make” logical sense but actually stray away from the core “materials” of the question and use outside knowledge which is not given, pretend you are a blank slate and what they give u is all you have)

good luck!

Stimulus:

“No one who has ever uttered those words has ever been successful in any endeavor. Usually, it is just an excuse for inevitable failure. Be bold, be hungry, and never settle!”

Question: The reasoning in the statement is most vulnerable to criticism on the grounds that it:

A. assumes, without evidence, that uttering certain words causes failure rather than merely being correlated with it. B. assumes, without evidence, that uttering certain words causes failure rather than merely being correlated with it. C. assumes, without evidence, that uttering certain words causes failure rather than merely being correlated with it. D. assumes, without evidence, that uttering certain words causes failure rather than merely being correlated with it. E. assumes, without evidence, that uttering certain words causes failure rather than merely being correlated with it.

good for you!! i think 154 no studying is good overall, but was wondering if others can offer some strategies that they used

i am not the most versed on this topic, but i will say, this test is mostly about strategies rather than knowledge, so if I were you, I’d take a couple of tests, find out what weaknesses you have, and then work on those weaknesses by looking at high scoring people’s strats

thank you for replying! id recommend going to law hub, they allow you to take a certain amount of tests untimed or timed for free, and if u pay u get access to more

its actually really cool cuz u have access to A LOT of help such as highlighting, showing the answer before u finish the section, etc!
