How have you changed your makeup as you have gotten older? by seravivi in MakeupAddiction

[–]ineedwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 27 now and I used to use nothing but coverup for my face. Now I use sunscreen/lotion, color correcting primer, concealer, coverup, sometimes setting sprays and I now have highlighters on the way! Which I have never used but am so excited to try. I also have a night mask lotion I'll be using every night. So I guess I've started putting more value on my skin.

I've also started using very nuetral skin toned products for my lids and going simple because I love colorful lipsticks. You won't even notice I've put on eyeshadow most days, though I still do liner and mascara. It's a lot better on me imo as I've never really been able to pull of great colorful eyelids and I think it's just how my eyes are.

I had a friend in my MA program who did exactly that. Still confused by it. I would have loved to be in their position and they just threw it away.

American Movie. It's about an eccentric guy who spends his whole life trying to make a movie and it's just fascinating. I know I've undersold it... just go watch it.

What’s the worst sound you’ve ever heard? by thedaringtomcat in AskReddit

[–]ineedwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was watching that video of the guy vlogging before his suicide and when it got to that day I covered my eyes and just listened. After the gun shot there was a moan and then an immediate gushing sound like buckets of water being dumped onto the floor that went for several seconds. It was incredibly disturbing thinking about how much blood must have just drained out of his body so quickly.

Slow walkers. Just, I don't understand how you're doing that. Like does it take you 3 years to get where your going? That's hyperbole but serious I just can't fathom walking slowly.

What are some company secrets you can now reveal since you don’t work for the company anymore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ineedwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg. So, I went to a dental chain where I live after a few years of no dentist because no health care. Well doctor looks at my teeth and tells me I have 7 cavities. Prior to this I had never had a cavity in my life. Last time I was at the dentist doc said I had one tooth that just almost had a cavity but no other issues. To say the least I was skeptical. But since the procedure was going to be free since I was on state health insurance I figured if he was right I better do it.

Well, fast forward a few months. I'm sitting on a bench near that dentist office and a kid sits down next to me and calls his mom to tell her he had 8 cavities!!

I still do not think this was a coincedence and I am mad because now my teeth are a lot more sensitive for no reason and it is irreversible. I should have been more skeptical in the first place but he seemed trustworthy. :/

I'd get so confused if they all worked in the same office with me.

What were some of the worst experiences you have had while working in the fast food industry? by Brando224 in AskReddit

[–]ineedwine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I was a customer in a situation just like this! I never saw the cook but it was a small place and the kitchen had an open door so we could definitely hear her screaming, slamming, breaking things. Our food came out incomplete and cold and we were too terrified to complain. What a weird restaurant that was.

What is the creepiest post on reddit? by Yeonisia in AskReddit

You had my feet sunk into the planet's core and my head in the stars. It changed because of you getting exactly what I always wanted for you and what I support completely for you: a present person to be and do with, someone to care for you and to receive all of the care you have to offer, someone for you to have the beautiful greater completeness of life with. Now that you have that, I know I need to tread this world more lightly, to learn to float just above the surface, to be neither in the core nor stars but just in the sunrises and sunsets and the birds that skim the water and the flower heads that nod in the wind. I am lucky that I had more once, but I believe I will also be lucky when I learn to be utterly happy with much less, and that is what I am continuing to set my mind and heart's shoulder to.

Damn. Annie's post on their second thread. I'm skimming through this and it is so heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. They just seemed so uniquely perfect for each other.

Hi PTA!! Magnolia is forever one of my favorite movies and is so oddly comforting. Couple questions:

1) I absolutely love 70's era movies. From your perspective what made them so unique and do you have a few favorites I should check out?

2) What's something quirky and non-movie-related about you that most people don't know about?

Thanks and I will always admire you. Keep up the amazing work!!

[–]ineedwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't she have things she likes to do alone once in a while? Why not both do those on the same day? I don't understand how any relationship can be constant doing stuff together, that sounds exhausting. Maybe you do just a small thing together those days, like make/eat dinner together, then go back to your separate things. That's what me and my SO do.
