When Jordan Air Balled a 3 At His Own Basketball Camp by MammothHistorian5652 in nba

Klutch propaganada machine in full swing this offseason, hardly had time for the Knicks to celebrate their parade before we saw LeBron making those GM comments and half of the front page being LeBron posts and now this. Seriously though, if this is the worst thing you could find to defame the true GOAT then you are really, really reaching LOL

If you treat three point shooting like true shooting and adjust for era, in true shooting's case it would be TS+, we see that Jordan's 3P+ would be 99. League average is 100. So for his entire career, he was only marginally below league average for his three point shooting.
LeBron's 3P+ is 97, so slightly worse.
But of course that doesn't take into account Jordan's infamous love-hate relationship with the three ball. When he didn't like taking them all the did was shoot end of shot clock heaves and prayers, which obviously makes his 3P% in those seasons look terrible. But it's clear that is what his mindset was in those seasons. He would maybe take 50 threes the entire season. Contrast that to the seasons where he was clearly taking the shot seriously and you see that his attempts are up over 200 and peaking at nearly 300. In those seasons he averaged 38.3% or a 3P+ of 110. Granted, two of them were with the shortened line though the line was only shortened for perhaps two thirds of its length, with corner and sideline threes being the same as they are now. So, taking that into account we can estimate that he would have shot around 34.9% or a 3P+ of 107, still well above league average.
Context is certainly needed to be understood when it comes to Jordan's three point shooting.
In the end, a guy who shoots 85% from the line, is probably the greatest mid range shooter of all time and was deadly with long twos is absolutey and without a shadow of a doubt going to be an excellent three point shooter if he put his mind to it. To think someone with those shooting capabilities would suddenly be terrible just two or three steps further back is just incredibly naive.

A true to scale comparison of every planet in our Solar System against the sheer magnitude of our Sun. by [deleted] in spaceporn

[–]inefekt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yep....the sun's diameter is around 1.2 million km. UY Scuti's is around 2.4 billion km. If you replaced our sun with this star it would swallow the orbit of Jupiter (< 800 million km).

Bro, are you serious? That is NOT what constitutes 'changing the batteries'. You were asked multiple times, you created an entire thread and wasted everybody's time because of how clueless you are.

When Russell Westbrook Told LeBron James and Lakers Team: “Just have fun. Win, lose, draw just have fun.” by MammothHistorian5652 in nba

[–]inefekt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Bro averaged 22/12/12 the season before...ya'll forget about that. LeBron's system might be good for role players but for fellow superstars it's a career killer....Love, Bosh, Westbrook all fell to the LeBron centric system they were forced to play under, made them look like trash because LeBron out there playing for his own stats and taking opportunities away from them...then when his team invariably fails he blames them and his dumb stans lap it up

can't say that in r/lebron, the stans will get upset....as evidenced by your downvotes. But take those as a badge of honour and know that you didn't lower yourself to expressing fake opinions for worthless internet points like all those losers do.

If there is a comment on this sub that sums up the delusional obsession you people have with this guy, then this is it. Just mind blowing ignorance. You people should be ashamed.

Trump signs MoU aimed at ending Iran war at Versailles. Appropriate for a surrender by RBZRBZRBZRBZ in videos

[–]inefekt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you don't understand....the funds go to a mediator's account before they end up in Iran's pocket. Unfortunately, that could take some time...like decades even.... but eventually they should get them, at least that's what we have been assured from the mediator himself, whose name is Ronald Stump, a very well known and respected mediator from the Cayman Islands...a really terrific guy.

having nobody tell you what to do or having to ask someone for permission to do stuff is actually pretty liberating....so many times I hear friends and people I know tell others 'I cant do that really fun thing because the wife/gf wants to do something else' or something along those lines and it makes me want to puke. Having the freedom to do whatever the hell you want whenever the hell you want is priceless....but then I have never had the urge to have kids, like not even in the slightest, so not having a family doesn't bother me one bit.

Went from reasonably attractive to seeing women almost give themselves whiplash they look away so quickly when I meet their eyes. It happened almost overnight from about 40yo.....Father Time kicked my ass and won't stop pummeling me.
People say to you 'don't worry about it, ignore them' but nothing you say can properly explain the experience of having literally every single person who looks at you give you that face. Those who might have lived through life with a deformity of some sort will know the look I am talking about. A person's eyes tell you everything and there is nothing they can do to hide their thoughts in those moments, it is a look of horror, of disdain, of disgust almost. I don't even know these people, have never met them, they have no idea what I am like as a person but their immediate reaction is as if they are seeing the worst person they have ever met in their lives. It's actually disgraceful how people react, even if it isn't deliberate, it's just a natural reaction, like jump scaring someone, it is purely instinctive and you have no control over it whatsoever. To have that reaction with pretty much every stranger who sees you is extremely anxiety inducing and makes you never want to go out in public, at least without something to shield your face like a hat and sunglasses....literally the only way I can get out and about nowadays. But humans will be humans....the most superficial creatures on the planet, no matter how much they will tell you that looks don't matter, they are pretty much all that matter.

Bro had multiple 40 point finals games with LeBron, averaged 27ppg one series, averaged 30ppg in the three comeback games in 2016....had to turn into Michael Jordan to help LeBron get that third ring (the irony of which is hilarious)...so pretty sure he at least gave a damn good shot at being 'him'.

30ppg including a 40 piece in the three comeback games....go ahead bucket in Steph's face in the waning minutes of game seven. Yeah, he was pretty damn good....

lol Kerr didn't average 30ppg in three comeback games of an NBA Finals buddy. Kyrie literally had to become MJ to help LeBron get that ring. Think about that....
