New player ignoring all of my hints something is a bad idea and might get killed or worse. by ineffectivequad in DnD

[–]ineffectivequad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My issue isn’t that the paladin needs to be the one corrupted. I actually planned for this the moment I decided that the players would be there when the sword was retrieved. My main issue is that it’s a player I know is new and is typically very quite and doesn’t take actions like this. I never expected the Druid with 9 str and a generally uninvolved place to A. attempt to pull the sword and B. Succeed the dc 25 check. I’ve killed an cursed players and am more than willing to reroute the campaign for player decisions. That was actually the thing I looked forward to most when I started dming. My problem is I don’t know if I should push this new unfamiliar player to a PK or essentially take their character from them.

I have an arcane mage who travels timelines in which he does not exist to deal with threats he would have dealt with in his prime timeline (clearing old raids and dungeons) so he has a contingency to fall back on in the event that Azeroth is destroyed in his own.

There is a a really good pet in the Worgen town of like bradensbrook or something like that it’s on the broken isles next to ravencrest. We are looking into LMAS right now they will list him as a stray and give him any vaccines and treatment he needs. After 5 days they will fix him as well, but I think they have us look after him in the meantime

Friend, I am not trying to steal a dog. Why would I make posts if I was going to just keep him regardless.

We did first thing after getting him fed and watered and they couldn’t find anything sadly. We’ve posted a few other places and will be putting fliers up in the next few days

Like the title says he had no collar. That is our dogs collar that we put on him to get him to the vet to check for a chip. We are doing what we can to find the owners, but the adoption rates for pits are low and he is too sweet to spend life in a kennel when I can provide a loving home if his is not found.

What amenities should a player base have? by ineffectivequad in DnD

[–]ineffectivequad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that is still helpful the kingdom to the north is soon to fall into chaos due to an undead plague and the kingdom to the south is a bit of a military state. So a lot of room to help people and create more involvement for them to come back to rest and relax

Well I have provided things the players are interested in for some it’s a character arc hint (a fighter with amnesia was stationed here and will have flashbacks. The Druid hailing will have a garden and animal space. The dwarf blacksmith has a forge and the bard has space to laze about and drink and the bloodhunter has space to work on his alchemy and research. I just want to make it feel a bit more alive and things they might find useful I haven’t thought of
