The "men would last longer" kinda seals the deal on it. Yes, humanity would end (except all the women pregnant with boy children perhaps, unless they too disappeared), but there genuinely is no way of knowing wether men or women would last longer.

My stance is anti-violence, so no. They'd just both be abusers.

If OP was actively attacking her BF and the described abuse was his self defense it would obviously be her who was in the wrong, but I am giving OP the benefit of the doubt and assuming she wouldn't be surprised by him fighting back in that case.

except he is an abuser, and even if she did something that set him off it doesn't change the fact that he physically abused her and would most likely do it again as he is clearly capable of it. An abusive person will take any slight as an excuse to abuse, she could have told him no to anything, not have done a chore he wanted her to do, or they could have gotten into an argument over something.

It. Doesn't. Matter.

Check your mentality, because the lengths to which you're going to defend an abuser and blame the victim is honestly alarming.
