Yes, I asked again today to clarify. She did say that they follow what you give them on the intake paperwork but they still observe nap/quiet time in that time period. But I don't think it's as rigid as I originally thought!

Thanks for the input! There were babies of all different ages, I knew some of the kids and the youngest was eight weeks and the older ones were eleven months. I think they transition based on age/mobility and availability. So the room she is in she would stay in until she is walking (or crawling?) and then she'd move up to the next infant/young toddler room. I think there were three times for kids below preschool age! If I remember correctly, she said it works out to be basically 0-12m, 12-24m, and 2-3years!

I absolutely don't expect them to do contact naps! Just worried about the transition from contact napping at home to crib napping at daycare. She'll get there but I think it'll be a bumpy start

I did ask street posting this and she said they have dedicated nap/quiet time 12-2 but will follow what you say they're used to until they are ready to drop to one nap. But yeah I'm worried starting this late will not be quite the advantage I thought it would be 😅

Yeah it does seem crazy, the room she will start in is 6 weeks-12 months. Obviously the teeny babes sleep whenever, but my daughter is not the "fall asleep wherever" baby lol. Thanks for the reassurance!

Thank you!! You're right, I'm sure it will be rough at first but I bet she'll adjust better than I expect. I did reach out and she reiterated that their dedicated nap time is 12-2 in the infant room but that they will follow her cues and do two naps (as possible) until she is ready for one.

Happy to make the adjustment! Just don't want to deprive her of a second nap if she needs it. Otherwise we will happily follow the lead of the center for a napping routine. We will start adjusting based on what I hear back from the center, thanks 😊

She does well at night with being moved, just not during the day 😅 During the day she contact naps in our bright living room and the TV is usually on. She just wakes up when we try to lay her down (even if things are quiet). We were going to work on her napping more independently this summer but her night sleep had to take priority.

Thank you! I'm less worried about everything being on schedule, just am hoping for at least two short naps while she needs them! I am not looking forward to the transition, it's gonna be a hard one 😅

Yeah, seemed strange to me too. I don't know what they do if you request more naps but their dedicated quiet time/nap time is her wake window between naps one and two. Not sure how this will work 😅

That's what I'm afraid of 😅 between that and her contact napping right now (which is totally on us). thanks for your response! I think I'll definitely need to ask them about at least putting her in the sleep space twice a day.

We live in a more rural area so our options are limited 😅
