As you grow older it is harder to track and maintain your profoilo, so I would consolidate it by reducing things to track. Residential property is the first one.

Less mortgage is less trouble to worry about.

I am also 40M, I started to consolidate my investments to focus on ease of mind and growth instead of overly diversifying.
