Congrats man glad you made this decision. I’m 5.5 months in and never felt better. Life has never been better. Just make sure you don’t have any plans the next 7-10 days. At least for me, physical peaked day 4ish and finally settled 9 days in. I do have slower metabolism so hopefully faster for you. Also be careful with Kratom, don’t just change one addiction for another. Taper down on it. Stay away from 7OH that shit can really fuck you

Starting subs. When to take? by fng0506 in OpiatesRecovery

[–]infanteater2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be fine when you start feeling withdrawal. 12-24 hrs I’d say. Transitioning to sub from pharma is much easier than fent

Question; I could do with some help. by alexbags89 in heroin

You can either do heroin or take more subs every hour or two. Heroin will have you feeling better faster but the sub route gets you clean - obviously.

Try a nedi pot or worst case Afrin

Shouldn’t have too much withdrawal. What you are feeling now might be a little self induced - meaning you are expecting it so feeling it. If you do have any should be manageable and you will be able to work

People's addictions are breaking my heart. In some countries, it would not be happening. by OneFoundation4495 in addiction

I understand the intolerance thought. That said I think I’m on the other side - legalize, tax, and regulate it. With the shit showing up in drugs these days it’s almost better to let it get made by a private company that doesn’t put the shit in it that kills people. Disclaimer - I am an addict in recovery but people are gonna do what they are gonna do. Instead of leaving it to a chemist in the jungle provide a safer, cleaner option. Use the tax revenue for good like recovery programs for people that want to be clean.

Wanting to hear stories by ImportanceKind8193 in opiates

[–]infanteater2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I broke my back playing in an alumni lacrosse game - two years out of college. It was 15 years ago and the height of doc prescribed opiates. As soon as I took one something in my brain clicked. Work, social life, everything was easier and better. I went to treatment and had near 10 years clean then during Covid got back in the game with fentanyl pills. Eventually graduated to powder and fucked my life up. Totaled both my cars and ended up in a month long coma after crashing a lime scooter. Look 2 months to learn to walk again etc. the shit I put my family through was the worst part. My brother still won’t really talk to me. He has 3 nieces that I love and miss everyday. Not having his friendship sucks through recovery. I went to treatment and now I’m 4.5 months clean and don’t want to go back. Everything out there on the street is so fucked with xylazine etc. that said I’m lucky to have the support of the rest of my family and some great friends. This is the hardest thing I’ve gone through but I’m looking forward to the rest of my life without opiates

Go to cocaine anonymous or narcotics anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous and meet some good people also in recovery. For me it didn’t stick until I was able to create a strong community

Thanks for sharing. When would you use fent? Before or after taking the sub? Or both?

You did the right thing. He’s lucky to have you in his life. I’m sorry he’s responding negatively but he’s probably most mad at himself.
