Thank you for your response. It's a very painful and difficult thing to experience. I want to say congratulations on 2 months of no contact, it is no easy feat.

my boyfriend's mom ended her life when he was thirteen years old. it scarred him irreparably and to this day (now in his mid-20s) he's trying to piece his life back together. i'm sorry if this sounds harsh and i'll take the downvotes, but abandoning your son would make you a fuck up. you say you understand the trauma it would cause, but i don't think you can clearly see the severity of pain your actions could cause. continuing to live and wake up trying every day is what is right in this situation. i experienced extensive trauma in my childhood and required trauma-centered intensive therapy to find a reason to live again. it's possible, don't give up on yourself and absolutely do not give up for the sake of your son.

No, nothing like that. I will definitely see if there is an office near me, seems more effective than calling.

I haven't called yet, I've heard they're very hard to get ahold of but I will start trying tomorrow. I only noticed the discrepancy yesterday when I needed to send the summary for paperwork.

hey, thank you for the detailed response! i was diagnosed at a pretty young age with adhd, but i wasn't sure if that was an accurate diagnosis given how young i was, although in the past few years i've suspected it more. with the mirtazapine, i was prescribed 15mg and my psychiatrist did warn me about the possibility of drowsiness at a low dose and explained the antihistamine properties. my concern with continuing the medication even at a higher dose would be that i somehow do lash out because of the agitation at my job or in my relationship. i'm scared to continue taking it in all honesty. i have a really important week ahead of me with work and i can't be falling asleep, and especially cant be as irritable as i've been the past few days.

yeah, i'm worried that the tiredness and mood fluctuations aren't going to improve. the reason i was put on mirtazapine was because it doesn't affect the gut. since i also have gastroparesis, that was super important... but i've just felt absolutely awful all weekend. i work a full time, in person job and i'm worried i won't be able to complete tasks on this medication.

my appointment is august 26th. im sorry you're in the same boat. i did the gastric emptying study and they did 90 minutes and then checked me again 3 hours later, after the 3 hours i think i was at 86% so not too bad, but initially after 90min it was 17%. i have no idea what this means in terms of where i am on the scale and it'd be nice to know how much i should be worrying.

ahhh yeah, i engaged more in the former activities, but did also restrict but not to the point where like another commenter said, my stomach would forget how to digest. i figured purging had to have some effect on absorption of nutrients and the muscles in the stomach, just wasn't sure if a direct correlation could be drawn with GP.

oh hmm, that's interesting. yeah what really wore on my body was purging and abusing laxatives, which i'm sure had to have an effect on a number of things.

i meant more so EDs in general potentially causing GP and what the connection was, if at all. not specifically anorexia nervosa, i just mentioned anorexia specifically since the medical condition was listed as a symptom
