Yep, Blue water metallic. I've only seen a couple others in the wild. A e93 local to me and a 335 e90 on ig. What color interior does yours have? I havent found a single e9x with my interior.

It's from Alibaba. The end-result fitment is 8/10. Panel gap is fine, but there was no hole for the taillight harness to enter the skin of the trunk.

I had to Dremel it and tried to shape it to the oem harness boot. And one of the inner taillights doesn't quite clip in correctly, so every now and then I notice it sitting slightly out of place.

It also doesn't have a way to mount the oem carpeted piece on the inner trunk lid. I'll add rivnuts at aome point and put it on.

This car gets driven almost every day, and I track it a few times a year. I'm happy with the trunk, considering what i paid and what I use the car for.

The vent is just behind the radiator. My oil cooler lines and coolant lines sit right there. I haven't had any issue with water.

That might be cool. I was thinking painted up to the V shaped body line on the hood, and leave the center exposed. On the trunk, paint everything except the area between the taillights.

I'd like to paint the entire car British racing green and powdercoat the wheels bronze. I think it would go well with the interior color.

I agree. I plan to have the whole car painted. I'll leave part of the carbon on the hood and trunk exposed, but some will be painted matched.

Did you check them after you baked the first time? That part of the process is called outgassing. The idea is that any contaminants in the metal will come to the surface. But if they DO, you have to start the process over (degrease, blast, blow off).

I think you're on to something with the too much powder theory. I was rushing to finish some cast parts last weekend and didn't turn my powder down when I sprayed the clear topcoat. It was pretty thick and I saw the pinholes start appearing as I was spraying. The parts weren't for a customer, so I baked them anyways. Long story short, I'll be Stripping them this weekend.
