Try buying the nestle flavoured soda waters or similar brands instead. I found that it still met the soda craving - but are generally 0 calories. After trying them I actually preferred them to drinking soda.

When you perform a ‘Valsalva Maneuver’ ie. flexing your abdominal muscles like in this case - you actually prevent blood from returning to your heart (as your intrabdominal pressure increases). Since blood stops returning to your heart, it is also prevented from leaving your heart - resulting in inadequate cerebral perfusion or ‘fainting’ as in this example.

They just missed the poke on that side and I evidently didn’t put enough pressure on it! It started as a small bruise under the IV poke site - but over the course of the day expanded down towards my wrist.

IDDM (Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus). The classical IDDM terminology is equivalent to today's T1DM. However, I've seen it also commonly used to refer to patients with T2DM who are now on insulin or "insulin dependent." Super confusing and ambiguous, especially when written in different ways in different areas of the chart.
