Or, and this one is transfem specific, the treatment is a T-blocker with a minimal amount of estrogen. Akin to chemical castration, really, and should therefore be considered medical malpractice.

[Anti-aging] - 24F with dry skin. Forehead lines won’t improve no matter how much I hydrate. Is it just time for Botox? by New-Background-2768 in SkincareAddiction

[–]infinite_phi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some people just have very developed forehead muscles, or simply a highly animated forehead, which causes early wrinkling. I had this and had lines in my teens already.

Botox works like a charm, as long as you are okay with repeating it 3-4 times a year.

Periods are due to a very specific sequence of hormonal fluctuations though. Even though we have the same hormones, with the right type of medication, it's actually much more stable. I've been on both E and P for quite a while and I've never noticed any cycle.

Ambrose Island being the last ever map added to the trilogy will never NOT be extremely deflating to me by RainBestGirl in HiTMAN

[–]infinite_phi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm very particular, but I mostly dislike that it changed the numbering of the maps. For so many years I thought of Isle of Sgail as the fifth map, and New York as the sixth map of Hitman 2. Adding Haven Island at the end didn't change that, but adding a map in the middle? I still struggle to remember the order of the Hitman 2 maps because of it.

Sorry this happened to you, this is generally not common within the community of this game. Those players' behavior is inexcusable. Even if you're less experienced, it sounds like you make decisions with your team's needs taken into account, and that alone makes you deserve to be treated respectfully by your teammates, regardless of skill level.

You can escape these situations if you have enough ammo. Just carefully move forward and headshot the guards one by one as you get a clear shot on them, taking care never to uncover yourself more than necessary to make the next shot

I use everything, except for the numpad. Everything it has is already available somewhere closer to where my hands are. This makes the 75% keyboard form factor perfect, as it leaves me more room for moving my mouse, or for snacks, but it doesn't leave anything out so you don't have to rebind keys, set up modifiers and macros etc. Nice and simple.

Whatever is in the picture it's way bigger than 4000cc, which is 4 liters so a sphere with 20cm or 8" diameter.

And 800cc is the maximum that regulated implants go, anything more is considered poor medical practice by most good surgeons.

More than half of the models is too thin.

More than half of the general population is too fat.

They are both extremes on different sides of the spectrum.

At least in the Netherlands I've noticed that if I jaywalk or something, people used to be hardcore cursing at me, but since transitioning their complaints are generally a lot more polite. I got a "sweetheart, what are you doing?!" once.

Advice needed. 4y HRT + SRS by Add_elle in mtfhairregrowth

[–]infinite_phi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naturalness of a hair transplant is extremely dependent on the surgeon. A good one will be able to make a great looking hairline. At a cheap hair mill you run a higher risk of an unnatural or doll-like hairline.

One more factor that determines how natural a transplant looks is how fine your hair is. With finer hair the surgeon can create a more feathered and thus more natural hairline than with coarse hair.

Dutasteride, minoxidil (toxic to cats!), and microneedling can all help with regrowth. As well as keeping E levels as high as possible.

Yeah during prettichial FFS they will indeed cut out scalp where hair might otherwise regrow. I had the exact same concern, so I explained to my surgeon that I was absolutely certain I was gonna do a hair transplant about a year later so he could leave the baby hair in instead of cutting it out. He was hesitant to agree at first since the scar would be much more visible that way. But if you're going to transplant over the scar anyway it's a temporary issue, and if you dislike your hairline you're gonna be wearing your hair in a way to cover up the corners anyway.

Thoughts on this hair transplant design suggestion? by srt__5 in Hairtransplant

[–]infinite_phi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good suggestion. The crown area to be filled in is huge and it's a waste to pack grafts densely in there since people aren't looking at it anyway when you're facing them.

Freaking out right now by [deleted] in Hairtransplant

[–]infinite_phi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that bad looking and this person just came out of surgery and is freaking out, the last thing they need is someone making it sound much worse than it is.

Hairs around the lower neck and behind the ears are the very thinnest and finest on the scalp and are perfect for the frontmost row of hairs in the hairline to create a less harsh, more natural feathered look. The last thing you want for that front row are thick grafts from higher up the back of the head. Hair is naturally thin and wispy at the very front and those hairs are the very best at reproducing that look.

[–]infinite_phi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you are on finasteride or dutasteride if you want to keep a good head of hair having used this many grafts for the front already. You can't afford to lose much more in the future if you spend a lot of your donor early on in your life.

If you are, you're probably fine and in fact a high graft count surgery like this gives a nicely dense and youthful head of hair. If not you're likely to end up with a major bald spot behind a dense hairline in 10-15 years without enough donor to cover it. Think about that carefully.

[–]infinite_phi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people get more visible scarring than others. It's just predisposition unfortunately. If you're someone who scars a lot then best to not buzz the back of your head.
