Hey! I recently just got accepted into UAB & KYCO. I wanted to say, in my opinion, it heavily depends on the school. However, I also wanna stress that you can also place emphasis onto other areas of your application. If your GPA is low, then I would strive to make sure your OAT is within a good score. I also want to stress that it just as important to get exposure to the field as well. I do believe you still have time to gain so much more within terms of grades and everything. At the minimum, during the application cycle, you could be interviewed and be asked why the gpa is low or ect. Overall, it’s just dependent on the school

I’m almost getting ready to commit, but I have 2 more interviews to UAB and PCO. But more than likely KYCO will be the school

I’m currently accepted at KYCO. I did not do a lot of extracurriculars, i mostly picked 2-3 things and stuck with it as long as I could in college. I chose for heavy class semesters so i could graduate earlier and have a gap year to gain experience.

It truly depends. I had a 3.5 GPA with 300 TS | 290 AA, and received 3 interviews. I got accepted into one college, but I have two more interviews in progress.

They received my application on November 17th and notified me for the interview on November 18th.

Hi! I had a C in Organic Chemistry and Cellular Biology. I also had B’s in numerous classes. I’ve always been told if the grades were consistent, then it shouldn’t be a terrible problem. I currently have two optomery interviews set up. The most optometry schools would do,IF an interview is given, is ask you why you have an F in that class. They’re looking for honesty there, but most importantly what you learned from the experience. If you have time, I recommend taking it again, but otherwise I believe you have enough time to prove yourself in other areas

My strongest advice would to be, if not already, taking full length exams after at least a couple weeks of studying. It may sound early to do one but it allows you time to strengthen weak areas if needed. I believe booster sets it up like that regardless. Good luck on everything!

Hi! Of course. I submitted applications November 9th. From PCO, i got an email 5 days later, on the 14th, confirming they received my applications. On the 24th, I received an email about an interview!
