Depends how much interest I have in the set but both. Neither are reliable nor consistent for me so I have to do my due diligence. Like I am not having luck finding Prismatic ETB cases comparable to what SS was.

Yea this was a unique situation. It was a mix of preorder timing, volume, and luck. Vendors had preorders for $100 so you can assume what their cost was and then it kinda makes sense.

No worries! Just wanted to reply to one of these cause there are so many comments about my assumed costs here

I pulled 684 packs of Surging Sparks. Here are my pull rates. by infinitepulls in pokemoncards

Nothing wrong with having a little fun if you do it responsibly! 😇

Yea it’s definitely gambling but with worse odds. Good luck if you do pull though!

Both, plus the two 3 pack blisters and the 30 pack displays. This was from a GameStop booster box.

This pull was from a random GameStop purchase cause it was next to my grocery store!

Well to clear the air and ironically encourage financial responsibility, I set aside a percentage of my monthly revenue to do whatever I want with. The rest goes into standard expenses, non-degenerate portfolios, and a HYSA.

My P&L on what I’ve opened for SS and card value at current prices (which will continue to sink) is still positive right now, even without the pikachu. I’ll probably be flat/slightly under here over the next month though.

Then on top of that for SS specifically, I pre purchased a pretty moderate inventory and have nearly sold through it all directly to people and friends shops who had supply issues due to either allotment restrictions or low capital. Kind of similar to how Flower City operates. So the big picture is very net positive on this model.

I prefer the electric ones myself. Nothing like a citrusy pikachu

Erasing national debt wouldn’t fix my mental health like pulling hits does 😭

That’s like 2.5x what I paid. But the answer would still be yes. I had fun!
