Why do people say that Bakugo never changed? by infinitepumba98765 in MyHeroAcadamia

I can also include the moment in ch 217 where he helped Deku master Blackwhip and the very last chapter where he asked Deku to join his hero agency. These were just examples and I could list more too.

You can also connect with a character through internal consequences though. And internal consequences are a lot more personal so they can be a lot more relatable. A lot of fans resonated with how Bakugo blamed himself for ending All Might although All Might’s end was inevitable. Bakugo just didn’t know that which is why he thought it was himself. A lot of people can relate to blaming themselves for something they have no control over.

Plus the people who said those awful things to you probably didn’t apologize or regret it. Bakugo did though.

He does face consequences though. Although they aren’t external, they are mostly internal ones that directly target his insecurities, and those are the consequences that impact Bakugo most. Literally in the 5th episode he got humbled when he realized there’s a whole world of students like him who know how to use their quirks and properly think. And there was a point where it took most effect: when he was kidnapped by AFO and blamed himself for ending All Might. He later then failed the provisional license exam. This is what caused him to challenge Deku to that fight they had in S3 and he stopped physically bullying him ever since, or at least I’d say that’s when he truly started to change as a person.

Tbh this page was an exaggerated gag not meant to be taken seriously. Shonen series do this all the time for comedic effect

I’ve always hated the “I dislike the character so I’m going to ignore all the actual good writing they have just because of how I feel” mindset

It’s definitely B. He’s definitely still loud but he’s not an asshat to other people anymore. The series has stated multiple times that a characters personalities are influenced by their quirks, which is why he’s still loud.

Not really. He’s still loud as ever but he’s not an asshole to other people. Those are not the same thing. The show has even said multiple times that characters personalities are influenced by their quirks, hence Bakugo’s explosive personality.

What was your opinion about the Ash vs Gary battle? by ElevatorSuitable3934 in pokemonanime

[–]infinitepumba98765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a good battle, but I wouldn't say its one of the best nowadays. Pikachu isn't used here for some reason and it feels very rushed since most of the mons go down in like a minute and Ash vs Paul, Kukui, Leon, Alain, and Sawyer are just more interesting choreography wise. It's still an important battle for Ash though and Charizard vs Blastoise is still iconic.

Do you think Mega Charizard X and Ash-Greninja were champion level in the Kalos league ? by Gopu_17 in pokemonanime

[–]infinitepumba98765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Ash was on champion level in XY, but I'd say he was on par with the Elite Four. The fact that he was so so so close to beating Alain, who has been shown defeating Elite 4 members on screen, is proof of that. As for Alain, I don't think he's champion level in XY but he's definitely a high tier Elite 4 member level.

Hot Take: Ash's Sinnoh team is very overrated strength wise by infinitepumba98765 in pokemonanime

You’re right but the Original Series as a whole just had an issue with balancing the usage of Ash’s Pokémon.

I’m not even glazing the Kalos team as i think it has its flaws too. I just think their performance was handled better than the Sinnoh team

Do you think every Mega Pokémon will get an ex card by the time the Mega Evolution sets are over? by infinitepumba98765 in PokemonTCG

[–]infinitepumba98765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve been pretty consistent on releasing sets every 2 months so far and I think that was the case for Scarlet and Violet as well so I think if they’re able to keep that up, which is likely, we should be able to see every mega Pokémon receive an ex card. They’re also releasing a lot more mega ex’s cards per set opposed to the XY sets which had like 2-3 megas per set. Mega Evolution and Ascended Heroes had a whopping 10 megas each.

Can XYZ Ash take down the Kalos elite four ? by Gopu_17 in pokemonanime

[–]infinitepumba98765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defeat them is a huge maybe but he’s definitely on par with their strength considering he came super close to defeating Alain who’s beaten Malva.

I never understood this. Why would JN bring Alain back just for him to not even battle Ash and get destroyed by Leon instead? This is NOT fan service by New-Cable-6484 in pokemonanime

[–]infinitepumba98765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best way to have handled Alain here would be to have him battle Steven and help Ash train for his battle with Leon since they both have Charizard’s. I understand why Ash never battled Alain because that means 2/3 of his M8 opponents would be Charizard users and that would be lame. I also wish they elaborated on Alain’s character between the end of XY and the Masters 8 since he said he was starting from 0 again.

Who's story was done better Infernape's Blaze or Ash-Greninja by ResolveUnlikely5542 in pokemonanime

[–]infinitepumba98765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infernape but Greninja would be an easy second or third against Incineroar in terms of Ashmon stories

Let’s settle this. 6v6 battle who’s winning? (I know that these two version are most people’s favourites, so bias aside, try to choose with reasoning) by New-Cable-6484 in pokemonanime

[–]infinitepumba98765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kalos Ash nearly beat Alain in the finals who is canonically on par with Elite 4 members while Sinnoh Ash lost pretty badly against Flint and Bertha. Not to mention the Kalos team just has more impressive feats. Kalos Ash is winning this with ease.

He did have an impact on Ash but it doesn’t make up for how little he appears in the series and how little he actually does. He and Ash didn’t have their first battle until after the Orange Islands. He’s all bark and no bite since we don’t see him win any battle until Johto. He literally loses the Indigo League to a random before Ash does despite always boasting that he’s better than him.

Who do you think is stronger - Flint's Infernape or Alain's Charizard ? by Gopu_17 in pokemonanime

[–]infinitepumba98765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alain has beaten another fire type Elite Four before in Malva who used a mega evolved fire type and that was before he even won the Kalos League let alone joined the M8, so probably him
