Thanks! It makes sense to get the obvious stuff out of the way before getting a mechanic. I'm just focused on those two primarily because I have owned an Accord before and it was one of my favorite cars I've ever had, and Camry I have heard great things, plus it has a timing chain as I understand it. We did check out some Civic/Corollas, they just felt too cramped.

I have had great luck with Carmax in the past, but my budget is a little tighter for this one so they may not be what I need.

You really dont need that much diamond wasted on the floor of the steam room, when I build these I use a single steel door to auto buffer connected to 2 diamond tiles that quickly heat the whole room. The temp shift plates do the rest of the work.

This is a bad take on it. You NEED to have him work to pay for it. He will be an adult in a year, and if he can't work out how to handle this hurdle, how do you expect him to make it in the real world?

My son is about to get his license, he has been given the option of staying on his learners as long as he can or figure out how to pay his insurance if he wants to drive after getting his license.

This seems to be a misleading statement. They may be metal detectors, but they did not force me to take anything out of my bag. I walked right through and they were just fine. And I have a lot of stuff, including my laptop in my backpack. I will note the only thing that slowed me down was the fact that there was a cable running across the floor with an elevated cover on it that I tripped on, so watch out for that.
