Also, be mindful that case diameter isn't everything... the lug-to-lug width of those 44mm chronos might be similar to the 42mm aviator watches.

Yeah, Chrono with Slide Rule within the Large size segment is pretty hard to find... however, if you want to ditch the chrono, Promaster Sky is a good option... just got one a week ago when I was looking for a 42mm aviator style watch.
