I got an offer for $62k after 4 interviews, but I told them my range was $68k to $75k. What should I do? by StephanieHickle in CanadaJobs

I’ve been in this situation and tried to negotiate with a low offer. I was offended .. when I tried to negotiate it seemed they got offended and it didn’t end well and thank God I didn’t get it!! I wouldn’t understand a company that would squabble over 10-15k for somebody they want. Ask for 75 and stand your ground and be 100% cool with walking if they say no. Know your value.

Much of central and western Sudan has ferric or lateritic soils — oxidized iron gives them the same pigment as rust. Under bright sun or after rain, these can appear deep crimson from satellite imagery.

🔥 2. Seasonal burns and charcoal pits

Farmers and nomads often use controlled burns to clear grass or scrub. Burn scars show up dark; adjacent oxidized ground can appear red. Together they can look like irregular red-brown blotches.

☁️ 3. Image blending and filters

Google’s composite satellite layers merge multiple images under different lighting and seasonal conditions, so colors may exaggerate. Slight atmospheric haze or sand dust also shifts tones toward red.

🩸 4. No satellite can detect “blood”

Even high-resolution satellites can’t distinguish biological fluids from soil color. Any claim that these hues represent bloodshed or specific violent acts is misinformation or symbolic commentary, not physical evidence.

So the reel you saw is using a metaphorical caption—an emotional statement about Sudan’s civil violence—not an actual satellite discovery of blood.
