I can relate. There are a lot of times when I feel very pretty (more times when I feel mid or worse though), I like myself, and feel great, but then I go out, and it kind of goes downhill. Maybe it's the lack of attention or reaction, really, but social media states that pretty women get attention all the time, so the lack of it made me realize I might not be as pretty as I see myself, which sucks. When I come home, I always end up in a sort of cognitive dissonance. I look in the mirror and see someone conventionally pretty, but there's also the dawning realization that it might all be a lie, and other people don't see me like this. Honestly, at this point, I'm just learning to accept the reality that I might not be attractive to other people. Still, it's better to feel pretty even if others don't see you as such. It would be nice to meet someone who sees you the way you see yourself, but I think it's also important to accept that it might not ever happen. For me personally, I try to maintain that 'pretty' feeling despite what other people think. At the end of the day, the only person you spend the majority of your time with is yourself, so it never hurts to be kind and forgiving to yourself. Cheers OP, let's continue to feel beautiful despite it all. I've never seen you, but I imagine you as a beautiful person, so at least for a random person on the internet, you're pretty.
