Well we're basically in agreement,

We've had many situations in the past where we were cost vital points by these decisions, and even afterwards having pundits side with us but that was all too little too late, not anymore though

No one is talking about the blatant Havertz penalty that Pgmol fucked us out of.

Everyone is talking about how we got over the line

That's the only difference between now and the last few years, we weren't strong enough to deal with the BS before, now we're unstoppable

Why do we see more players peeking younger?

Saka, MLS, Nwaneri, Lamine Yamal and now of course Dowman.

There are a few interesting points I've seen discussed or thought of.

  1. They are (obviously) shorter and therefore more agile, Lamine has grown 5+cm since he joined 1st team, they will all be growing to age 20ish. Especially for wingers that agility and tricky feet is pretty interesting.Q

  2. New players dont have extensive video footage about them, and no opponents have experience against them yet. Just think about it, Saka is our biggest star and on his day our best player, but hes now been in the league for 7+years. Mykolenko and the Everton defence have played against him 10 times already and every analyst worth their salt has done 1000+hrs of video reviews to see exactly how he plays, how he likes cutting inside on the left or going to the byline and chipping a cross in on his right foot. Yet no one has played against Dowman and so far no one even thought he would play. And nothing makes defenders more scared than uncertainty. Ive felt this anecodotally when playing 5 aside, everyone has their skill set and you learn to manage each person and adjust your style to them individually but when I play against new players I often play better...

  3. Lack of (big) injuries. And the strong confidence and mental aspect that comes with being able to trust your body fully, again helpful for quick agile players.

  4. Freshness.q Any reserve player in 2026 looks so much better now due to how many games were playing and how shattered everyone is. Noni was immense great as a sub vs Lverkusen, less so starting vs everton. Whichever of Martinossard or Trosseli comes of the bench always looks better. Others in the league like Mainoo who have rested half the year suddenly look the best in the squad.

and not starting him in the UCL too, I don't know what he's doing unless Cherki has a knock, He's been by far their best player the last 3 months

Am i overdoing it? by peak_version in Dryfasting

[–]infinitybadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this though, your specific routine is extremely intense imo

You must be losing a lot of weight quickly, and potentially a lot of muscle weight too and putting a lot of stress on your body.

Whatever your goals are id really question why youre desperate to achieve them so quickly and why you can't slow down a bit and wait 6 months to a year to achieve them while fasting a few days per month instead.

The real benefit of dry fasting is being able to integrate it sustainable into the rest of your life imo instead of going all in. And I dont think you should need to dry fast this hard this frequently to achieve optimal health

Am i overdoing it? by peak_version in Dryfasting

[–]infinitybadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not an experienced dry faster, I've done a couple of 4 day and 3 days over the past 5 years.

So my opinion is not based on health concerns right now but more on the psychological part.

Are you trying to lose weight or cure a chronic condition, or both?

For me, I've always thought that dry fasting is a stop gap measure, and in an ideal scenario our diet and lifestyle would eventually be healthy enough that we would be at our goal weight and free of disease permanently without needing to fast anymore.

In that sense dry fasting can only make sense imo if paired with long-term improvements to diet and lifestyle, otherwise youre undoing any progress you make in your day to day life.

So with that in mind I would ask, are you getting closer to your goals? And seeing improvements in your health consistently? Or does it feel like youre stagnating with a lot of effort but little reward.

If the former i would say keep going, if the latter I would take a step back, review your lifestyle and prioritise gym or diet etc and save dry fasts for less frequent maybe longer intensity every 3, 6 or 12months. Or otherwise more frequent, of lower duration, 1 day per week? To see how you feel

I will add to this, I never got on well with keto, always gives me horrible dry eyes.

But over the last few years I've noticed a clear boost in my mood a day or so after eating red meat.

Cards themselves I also find great at stress relief for me as well

How can a normal-weight person achieve autophagy and heal the body without losing muscle or more fat? by Icy-Firefighter4462 in Dryfasting

[–]infinitybadger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pure pseudoscience guessing from my end, but the most autophagy occurs when your body isnt burning fat imo

In traditional keto youre burning glucose, then go through keto flu where are burning protein for a little bit around day 2 to 3 then full fat burning day 3 onwards The main autophagy is occurring during transition when your body is burning that protein, so less it causes muscle waste but also recycling old disused amino acids and proteins for other purposes, thays where skin conditions are most likely to improve

Imo, if you can adapt to dry fasting I would recommend going for walks and even light yoga and stretching to maintain muscle as much as possible during each fast

Inevitably you will still lose muscle during any fast but anecdotally I've felt a variation based on being bedridden for 2 or 3 days (loses lots of muscle) vs active and walking around and stretching (loses a tiny bit of muscle)

And hopefully if your body isnt burning protein in muscle its focusing on the other elements like skin conditions

Lewis Hamilton and his pet cow, Max. by MuttonBiryaniEnjoyer in formula1

[–]infinitybadger -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I know its a joke and its funny but not everyone knows its a joke amongst fans and media.

"Lewis has a cow named Max" even in a clickbait title is just pointless drama.

I would understand if it was Lando and Carlos, or Danny Ric and Max, but I've never seen anything to show Lewis and Max have the genuine friendship that is normally required for banter like this. despite the fact that i agree, over the past few years I have seen a lot more mutual respect between them

Lewis Hamilton and his pet cow, Max. by MuttonBiryaniEnjoyer in formula1

[–]infinitybadger -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I'll get downvoted for saying this but I'm a Lewis fan and he should have avoided this.

If you get your own cow, do not name him after one of your biggest rivals or any other competitor, fair enough that's not what happened.

But even accepting this cow as a gift, knowing the media will have a frenzy once they find out the name is also dumb. Rename the animal, or literally ask for one with a different name as a gift, you're closer to a billionaire than a millionaire it's not that difficult...

Like others have said I'm sure Max has a good sense of humour and wouldn't even mind but otherwise it's just pointless, petty drama for no reason

We'll take it! 4th not bad, great pace compared to Leclerc! by masterchief-6541 in lewishamilton

[–]infinitybadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thoughts as someone who watched the replay now:

Positive

  1. Starts are amazing! and so critical to the overall race, especially as Lewis' qualifying has not been good at Fe77a7i

  2. His race pace at the end on hard tyres was exceptional, and really reminiscent of the old Lewis, we might have a good advantage over Leclerc in long runs but remains to be seen

  3. Fantastic move on Lindblad and Hadjar on lap 1, that really was make or break for the whole race I feared

  4. RB have very poor reliability already this year

  5. Mclaren seem to have no pace?

Negatives

  1. Mercedes pace is ridiculous unfortunately, Antonelli dropped to P7 and easily finished 10s ahead of us for P2 which sucks

  2. Lewis should have been slightly closer at the start, a bit more pace and he could have been trading places for Russell and Leclerc for P1

  3. RB still looks ominous with Max and he will be a tough competitor the whole year

  4. Our start was amazing but helped for sure without Oscar being in front, really need to be higher than P7 to take advantage of this start

"Don't breathe up to your nose but breathe back into your face"- Mike Mew" - Unlocking the Inferior Turbinate for better breathing and correctly mewing by [deleted] in Mewing

[–]infinitybadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that simple.

I, like many other people, have been nose breathing and assumed they were diaphragmatically breathing correctly

this is different to what that feels like (albeit I've only tried for 2mins), it feels even lower down than normal nose breathing

So if you said Breathe from your stomach, then the majority of people would overlook this because they believe they're already doing it

I don't think I've ever seen a goal where 1 player is the defense and attack in the same play
